To increase the amount of crew available for hire would require remaking all the factions trade stations (and possibly cargo ships) fysically, which is beyond the scope of this mod.
To make your suggestion work, somewhere between 50 and 100 ship files would need to be fysically remade. This mod only makes some textual changes to some of the vanilla code, but doesn't make any changes to the ship files themselves.
The Huge Crew Mod was made after this mod was already released, which is why this mod exists in the first place. So unfortunately this mod is not what you're looking for.
Updated to get rid of the "not compatible" popup.
Unlimited ManPOWER!
I fixed the issue, this mod should functioning normally again (as of writing the game version is 20.27).
Please update to version 1.0.1 of this mod.
I can even install this mod, play with it a bit, then save the game and goto main menu to disable this mod, restart the game, load the save and the save will still load even with this mod disabled.
So it seems to be perfectly savegame compatible. This mod doesn't add new options to the game, it only changes one of the default ones.
@kaidabsta, it seems to be something on your end. I suppose installing multiple mods that increase the amount of crewmembers is not a good idea. Are you sure you went into the mod section within the game and enabled this mod?
any ideas why?
This mod doesn't decrease or increase the total amount of crewmembers available in the list of recruitable crewmembers at any trade station or trade ship, it only removed any fame limitation but only if you set the Crew/Fame ratio to 'Maximum'. The removal of the fame limitation also means there should not be a maximum you can recruit. Many other crewmember mods only increase this limit while this mod essentially removes it.
If you set it to any other setting it will still be the game default one provided it's not affected by any other crewmember recruiting mod.
I haven't really tried the other crewrecruiting mods as I've always used my own.
