love the design and the new weapon. Any chance that you will give him some more attack animations to his vanilla moveseet? Or maybe even do a whole new one? I am sorry for asking much, its just that your mods are very good and you did custom movesets before, so I know that you are capable of doing so. That would be really nice of you. The empire LL´s are lacking on unique movesets especially Karl and Louen.

Hello! I dont know if you responded on other comments like this before but could you please make a version when it just replace Franz warhammer with your runefang? That sword is just too cool.

Never changed to other skins for Karl since i think this might be the best one, just wanna point out that the weapon skin is a bit buggy though, sometimes his sword is floating lol

Good sir, do you perchance think you could make a simple variant of this mod that retains his original helmet? I love the new armor additions youve made and the new sword, but Im not a huge fan of this new helmet. Would this be possible?

Love the mod, quick question kind of related. In image 3/4 there is some infantry units behind Franz with flaming swords and golden armor. What mod are those guys from? They look sick, and I checked your other workshop stuff and couldn't see them anywhere in Radious. Thanks for your time!

@t.a.vanroermund Thanks for the feedback but I don't spend time on this mod anymore. Only if an offical patch might break it, which his very unlikely. The mod to me personally is finished and I've got to much other stuff to work on (;

You're welcome to use my files and edit it to your like, as long you give credit to the orginal mod here.

Regarding the Know-How I'd recommend to look up guide and videos. There are some good tutorials online, where they're showing modding things. :)

Awesome mod! I was wondering. Could you change the cape/ feather basicly everthing red into yellow? I would love to have Averheim playthrew having a thematic army. If not how could i do it?

@Balthasar Gelt I'm not quite certain but they look like the emperor's chosen guard from deer24's empire romance mod. Only thing is these in the image have a flaming sword yet the mod I mentioned they don't. They are very similar however.

Really like this skin for Karl Franz. However, could you potentially make a version with open face helmet? or maybe even a crown? I prefer the idea of the Emperor of men not afraid to show his face to his adversaries in battle!

@〤Tequila Please always read the Description, in that case the Known Issues.

That bug is a known one, but I can't tell why it happens. On Deathclaw the weapon is fine again, so only for the time when on the warhorse he has this issue. Since everyone is using Deathclaw anyway in the end, I think it managable with the warhorse.

@Schematic I've checked the mod and we are both using the same key, which means there should be no conflict of the mods. Maybe it will help if you put the resize mod above this mod here. If you can try it and provide feedback, it'll be great. I'll consider changing this in my mod, because I'm not a big fan of the overgrown lords, but in the end he's on Deathclaw anyway (;

@Wenkorn Hi there, thanks for the feedback. The issue should not come from this mod, because it is just visual. No stats or anything gameplay related is changed. If possible: Try to load SFO before this mod, maybe it will help with the stats :)

I can't tell for sure, because I do not have any issues and I'm also not using SFO. Sorry

@Yolzer Thanks for the positive comment! This mod here is just a visual mod, it does not change any gameplay or stats. It is compatible with all other mods, as long they dont change the appearance of Karl. Any stats or anything can be changed from other mods without any conflict. So I assume SFO is changing Karls stats to balance it out, than you can simply use this mod and it will work.

very good reskin mate, can use it with base game but the mod need compability patch for SFO (stats are weaker than any other lord), other than that, karl's best reskin

Hey Guys, I've fixed the issue that Karl was stuck as a land unit when on a Pegasus and Deathclaw. Now he's working as intended. He's a flying unit again and the fly-toggle-button is back. Thank you guys for your feedback!

@RagnaroK Ye, they changed the animations tables, which are also changed in this mod. They are linked to many other stuff like flying. So simply recreating the mod should fix it later.

Yeah I have no clue either, as it makes no sense as you mention, when its only graphical. But it seems to happen to almost any kind of mod despite its functions as of 3.0 update.

Thx for taking the time. Hard to look at Franz in vanilla, now that I used your sword and black variant for so long. :)

@RagnaroK I could re-create the issue. Still surprised, since there is no script in this mod that should have impact on anything regarding flying. But CA is doing just CA things I guess.

Just did the test. Vanilla Franz can fly on his Griffon, but with this mod enabled only, he is sadly grounded.

So update definitly broke his animations in this mod. :steamsad:

I don't think its the mod.

My Franz can't fly either, but I have another skin mod for Louen and he is also unable to fly, so I imagine it is something else entirely issuing the no fly bug.

@Silahel They are the Emperors Guard, part of another mod. Somewhere below in the previous commencts I've linked the mod :)

@Thunderbringer Sorry, that mod is not available, at least from my side. To create this, I'd to change the textures on the vanilla helmet, which is currently not planned. I know there are other Black Armor mods, even with vanilla helmets, but without this sword. But you can use my assets if you want to create a new mod or if you get someone to create for you, but please inform me before that and credit me :)

Remember that just a new DLC and huge Patch dropped, so many mods are outdated or do not work correct anymore, especially mods that effects the gameplay in any form. Sword floats above him when on the barded horse. Otherwise it works really fine and finds its way into his hands again, once he starts combat.

@Knight of Yore That's the weird stuff, because as far as I know, there is no difference regarding animations. Some other stuff is seperated, but not this. I might be wrong, but I still think it is something else. So far nearly everything is fixed. The only remaining bug is the battlefield animation on a warhorse, when played manually in a campaign. Everything else is now resolved. It now has working campaign models and the battlefield animations for the mounts are working as wanted, except the warhorse. But I'm still on it so that issue will be hopefully fixed soon. I think we can be lucky, that Deathclaw is working fine, because usually people play Karl still as Foot Soldier or with Deathclaw. Horse and Pegasus are usually just placeholders until you have Deathclaw (;

Hey @Driblex. Glad to see you’re working on this still! I just want to clarify in case it helps you: The skirmish battle was always working perfectly fine, it never had issues. I don’t know if campaign battle model and skirmish battle models are the same, but whatever you did for his skirmish model originally works fine. So maybe it’s just a factor of making those match, and the original fix you did for the campaign model worked fine, so you could just add that back I believe.


Also there is a reskin mod called “Fay Enchanter” that seems to use the same models you’re using and works fine, so maybe you could find something in those files to help out as well. Sorry if I’m bombarding, I just love this mod that much lol.

I've reverted the current version to the orginal one. I prefer the version with the T-Pose on the horse when on campaign map over the bugged battle animation. I wil lstill looking for a fix for all the issues.

The campaign map is working great, I see he’s holding it with one hand now. The sword bugs out and floats when you try to move in battle. He’s still holding it in 2 hands in battles, if that is relevant.

He does work completely fine for AI skirmish battles from the Battle Menu, though. Hope that helps.

the campaign model is working beautifully thank you! however when loading a battle from the campaign Karl will look fine but the moment he moves the sword starts floating to his side. Dont know how you but if you can please

I've just tested it now for the Warhorse, but I've also edited the other mounts, so there should be no bugs anymore with the model.

Okay, than it seems something is wrong with the mod. I'll give it a look and see what I can do about it.

Regarding the script, technically it MIGHT be possible, but like I said, I won't be able to do it. I don't have the skill for such scripts. I'm sorry, but I can't create this mod. If you find someone who's able to create such a script, advise him to contact me for permission to create for my mod file. :)

hey I am a friend of this Knight of Yore guy. We've been working on trying to figure out if this mod is bugged or not. We have determined that for some reason when we reach level 4 with your mod and get a mount Karl stands on his horse and T poses. We hope you can solve this issue as your mod is really cool. As for what i believe PerpetualCunt is talking about is that there was a mod for warhammer 2 that give karl a 1 handed sword at the start, then when he did the quest battle a script when of changing him back to vanilla Karl with a hammer. Is it possible toget a script to kick off after the battle that changes his model to your other one with the hammer on it. if that is possible that would be amazing.

Thank you for responding so quickly. This is my favorite skin mod to come out for Total War and I’d even considered just running Franz on foot until it was fixed lol. Hope it gets sorted soon, and if you have any questions let me know. I was speaking to a friend of mine and he is having the exact same issue.
