Completely, understandable. It is still better than the game's defaults.

PS1: If you BACKSPACE SPACE, it gives you little squares on the map instead of a point. I will think of a use eventually.

PS2: I had German in college around 50 years ago. Amazing I remember anything. :)

Moin, thanks xD Yes I'm, german. Still going to answer in english though so that non germans can have a look if facing the same question.
If I understand you question correctly, you create named map points using the other mod and then just name it " " so it doesn't show a lengthy name on the map.

In that case, it won't be deleted since the name is technically not empty. The mod checks for a completely empty name (technical: null).
So I'm afraid the answer is you aren't doing anything wrong. It's just that both mods cancel each other out in a way that I haven't thought about when wanting to create "empty" points.
The mod "Named map points" will automatically fill in default text when trying to create an empty point so there never is a truely empty point.

I gfet the issue, I don't want to change this now though because I might break the behaviour others are used to. If you want this though, add me.

A very nice tool combination. THANK YOU!

I am creating point markers when I want to avoid clutter by just hitting SPACE. But I don't know how to create named and un-named such that LCTRL-P deletes only un-named.

What am I doing wrong?

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Are you German? ... if so, vielen Dank.

I would need to look into that. Didn't seem that easy on first glance but I'll check that.

Any joy getting the eraser circle increased tidied to a modifier key?

getested und ich kann bestätigen: sau geiler mod ;-) Ctrl + P macht genau das! Vielen dank

I updated the mod so that you can erase everything except points (those that don't come with lines) by pressing CTRL + P :)
tequilatibbs 21 Nov, 2022 @ 5:11am
That would be awesome if possible

Glad you guys like this change :)
I thought about adding a new tool that has multiple size options for the eraser tool. However I'm struggling with getting the UI working.

For a quick way I could check if its possible to change the size with maybe another modifier key like ctrl in this case.

Incredible.
Any chance you could make it so the eraser has a larger circumference on the zoomed out map view? Sometime there are a lot of markings to be rid of but some to keep as well.
Either way, thanks for this, a great QoL
