Make the coat more team colored and remove the paint region and then it might be passable.
Think like Scout's pants blue basically(a mistake that Valve should of fixed at the beginning of the game cause it led to discussions like this, Brown should of been a RED only color! minus hats of course)
Brown, especially light brown, tends to be a warmer looking colour, alongside orange and RED. BLUE on the other hand falls under the cool colour category, along with dark blue, purple, etc.
The reason why blacks and grays from Demoman's original vest are acceptable while this isn't is that monochrome colours (whites, grays, blacks) tend to be very neutral, which allows them to be very complimentary to other colours.
The problem is that the warm colours of brown and the cool colours of blue are contrasting with each other, making it harder for teams to identify someone at a glance.
If you were to change the colour of the bomber jacket on BLU's side to a darker colour, or make a "blue-r" variation of the light brown, I think it could go a long way!

Anyways, this is a great looking cosmetic. love its detail and desgin. woudn't mind seeing this being added.
- Heavy TF2
Edit: The only suggestion I'd give for this item, on reflection, is having it be different tones of leather for team recognition. Darker for red, lighter for blue. Other than that, good work.
