Also make sure that you are using the most up-to-date version of the mod, as the boat issue existed in a previous version but I believe I fixed it. I think. To be honest it has been a little while since I last worked on my mods, so maybe I should start working on them again.

Ok, I am sorry about that. Not entirely sure what the issue is, so it would be helpful if you were to send me your game's debug log in the instance in which that issue occurred. Also check what mods you currently have, as sometimes other mods interfere with each other and cause issues. I am unsure why the issue is still persisting even after you have disabled the mod, so the issue may be occurring from another mod you have enabled or installed. If the issue is still persisting and you are certain it is my mod, then I would recommend unsubscribing from my mod to try to get the game to delete my mod files and going into the steam options of don't starve to verify the integrity of the game files.

This mod broke my game. my boat disappears when i attack in the water on shipwrecked
so i disabled the mod, now i turn completely invisible.

I think I tried using the shovel animation but it did not look right, might try again though just to be sure. So far my animation skills are still rather poor, so unfortunately anything as complex as a player animation can not be edited at all by me, not even sped up.

A neat one would be an upper slash, like a sped up shovel animation where you from underneath and slice upwards.

Not really a blood guy, but at the same time I do like adding random things like blood mechanics and I plan to make a better combat mod, so maybe. On vacation right now though, so no new mods yet

Maybe. I work as an EMT so I cant exactly just go to school since my schedule is scuffed, but maybe I'll trying doing what you did. Truthfully I did try to find a tutorial on dont starve modding before, but they were all super old or just not helpful. Klei's official webpage thats supposed to help with that is just full of dead links. I donno, maybe I'll give it a shot when I have the time and energy. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you. Honestly, Don't Starve is so easy to make mods for as most of the files are normal (they can be accessed with the built in tools of file explorer and notepad, though I would use notepad++), and I just completely self taught myself by looking at all of the game files and downloading complex mods to look at their files, so if you were to take actual classes in coding you could be much better than me.

I see! I donno how to program despite my interest in the subject, so I'm glad you dont seem to struggle with that aspect of it. Still, thanks for actually making mods. I've been half bothered to learn just so I can start updating abandoned mods since theres a grand total of 5 Dont starve modders in existence

Its actually surprisingly easy and fun to fix bugs, the game basically tells you what is wrong 25% of the time in the logs, and you can usually just look to where you overwrote something on accident or missed a punctuation mark when the debug log does not tell you.

I'm still using some mods from 2016 but am just now starting to encounter small bugs or complete crashes and it's really nice to have a mod that I know is up-to-date and working.

Just fixed the bugs, turned out the beefalo crash issue was caused because I forgot to actually define a function, and the boat issue was because I accidentally directly put the modified attack animations on top of all the normal animations instead of beside them, meaning that the boat was running my attack anim instead of boat attack anim

Ok, I will look into that. I actually started back on working on my mods now, so the current schedule is to first make my Ro-Bin forms mod actually good, then to fix up the bugs in my other mods, and after that work on some new mods like Webber's Arthropod Alliance, which will allow befriending scorpions and mants as well as adding some features from his Don't Starve Together refresh.

Just found a bug! Using only Reign of Giants I was mounted on a beefalo, attacked a killer bee and the game crashed. It identified this mod and it mentioned something about a missing sound. The mod seems to work well otherwise. I'll give it one more go, but if it crashes again then I'll unfortunately have to disable it.
Thank you for taking the time to create this mod, it really makes the game more enjoyable.

Might need to wait a little while, new Rainworld dlc just dropped, so I am going to use up most of my time either playing it or watching it on Youtube, and I have not finished Subnautica Below Zero yet, so I will also use up most my time on that. But I should get around to actually working on my mods again sometime before fall this year.

First of all, thank you for the efforts of the author to bring a new experience to everyone. However, this mod has a small bug that the entire hull disappears when the character attacks enemies on the ship, and the hull will appear again when the attack is stopped.

Thanks. In the code, each time you attack the game plays a timer for the length of the normal attack animation. Even if the animation is longer than this timer, the character will just stop doing the animation to do their next action, like running away or attacking again.
