And the issue is that mission trees/focus trees take soooo much time to plan/develop/code to be truly good unlike things like Journal Entries or the old eu4 mission system where individual goals can be added at a time.

@Karax I agree with this. When Mission Trees were added to EU4 it automatically made it feel that the majority of nations in the game which didn't have missions now felt like they were somehow inferior and not worth playing when beforehand this would not have been the case. Same with HOI4 where the focus tree system meant that the vanilla game felt bare bones and empty until now after 6 years of development there are now some basis of decent focus trees for many nations. CK3 and Victoria 3 both truly feel like games where every country is worth playing and I feel like mission trees that are too nation specific would ruin this, that is why I like the nature of Journal Entries more in Victoria 3.

Missions are technically in the game. There are journals that depend on other journals and you can see the requirements for journals in the journal view at the bottom. It's very similar to the decisions in eu4. Moving towards a mission tree would, however, make it a lot more easier to comprehend what order you need to do stuff. Most countries also only have the generic journals.

Great mod, this game was missing missions.

For modders making missions: please make them elastic. Please do not assign them to single country tag / culture, Decision that mission is applicable can be decided by so many other things like interest/owned regions / ideology / relative strength / infamy etc, so it can be performed by any other nation. Assignation of missions to country is one of biggest issues in design, waste so much content. It can be assigned to so many other things like owned land, ideology, rivals etc. It is better to have elastic missions, then missions assigned only to one-single tag. If mission can be for USA to conquest Europe, why not allow mexico or native or afro-america to use it as well? If you could please make missions e.g. freedom&democracy spreading missions tree for any democratic country or unification of Africa by anyone who have their capitol there etc. Thank you in advance.
