He's an OC I made only for rivals, so yes, he was made as if he was a part of the world of rivals.
this is now a visual bug, but when you place more than 3 perches, the one that should disappear despawns now on a weird way
the interaction area disappears for the one despawning, but the thing still stays on the stage for a few momends slowly going downwards
having all 3 perches active its so much stable now, its incredible
Sorry for bothering you with this, but at the same time Im thankful you went and optimized the character, not many devs put this much care and love on their projects
I optimized the verlet integration- hopefully it plays more smoothly..
I wish I knew what exactly its causing the slowdown, but my knowledge about articles its a bit limited :<
I optimized the draw function, hopefully it's improved again!
the performance should be better
Rivals as a whole doesn't push my computer at all so I can't really test performance
anything which lags rivals for me is a limitation of the engine itself
but I realized that it was doing collision checks for every segment of every perch against every hitbox every frame
so now it only does collision checks while any blackbeak is using fspecial, which is significantly better.
if you still have performance issues, do let me know!
I don't want computing power to be a barrier.
Their normals dont mix very well together, its complicated to land combos with them cause of the normal movement stats being so limited, I know its intentional to encourage using the perches, but in actual matches its hard in general to optimally play the character, a bit more of running speed and slightly higher jump stats wouldnt hurt them
and another issues... (this one is a really problematic one) its that setting up the perches lags the game really badly in some computers, having just 1 of them already makes the game kinda slow, all 3 of them at the same time is.... rough, playing them online lags the game a lot
still, I really like this character and just wanna see them shine
