Really like to use this mod but as others have already stated this mod has seems to have some issues playing nice with other mods. Maybe it gets an update soon, its been awhile....

To be fair though, this mod wouldn't be necessary if modders would make their apparel and weapons stuffable! :awkward::steamfacepalm:

I'm a little confused, why are there two GitHub repositories for this mod? Not to mention the VFE:P patch?

Shouldn't the source be in the primary repo's tree? 😅

This would be a great mod... if it worked. When I last played with it (months ago, no error log available), this mod would ruin humanoid raids because the pawn generation would break when it came time to create apparel for them. I really, really wish it would work properly. =(

Soooo, it also breaks some stuff that relies on apparel or weapon tags, Mechanoids from The Dead Man's Switch cannot equip any weapon because all their tags are gone.

Seriously aching for the ability to fine-tune stuffables; some things are fine being made from whatever. But I'm so sick of seeing Plasteel Pants. But if I don't want that I have to disable it for *all* apparel.

It definitely needs a lot of patches. Vanilla (and Vanilla Expanded) plate armor (as well as other metallic medieval armor) are made of cloth due to their tags. Stuff from NewRatkinPlus ignores configs due to having other tags.
Also, I wouldn't recommend adding this mod midgame (except for very early colony) - the main issue is that old non-stuffable items cannot be disassembled. Removing it midgame should cause even more issues.

The same error comes up on a save started with this mod around when I start producing weapons and armor. Pawns are getting stuck on their way to smithing tasks and, for some reason, collecting raw honey from Vanilla Brewing Expanded.

Getting bugs and huge slowdowns immediately after enabling this; went from ~350 tps to >60 instantly.

@Daemon976 It's a conflict with Woodworking Expanded. Been trying to work on a patch to no success.

Turns out it was an incompatibility with Expanded woodworking. I made a patch that removes logs as a weapon, which worked in removing the log spam.

So not sure what mod adds it or if it's vanilla, but I have something that makes wood logs equipable as weapons, and this mod makes literally all wood logs stuffable. Which for the most part doesn't have much gameplay effect, as even if you disassemble them you don't get anything, but it floods trader inventories with wood logs made from loads of different materials.

@Riddle 78 Might be the mod armors lack a thingCategory tag as 'ApparelArmor'. No idea what mods you're using specifically - but it could be an issue of "it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, but it's creator labeled it as clothing"

Surprised to see a lot of things now being stuffable which makes me hella happy :partymask:

However noticed other stuff losing its stuffable status, like the Fallout New Vegas Elite Riot Gear. I had wanted to change the material from what I was using and noticed I no longer see any metallic items besides what it initially asks for:awkward:

Gonna try and play around with the settings a bit but I see others having the same issue so might be beyond what I can fix on my own.

You have no idea how much I need this mod to work properly, since Marine Armor Materials and Stuffed Flaks broke my pawn generation to pieces. Granted, lots of things seem to break that, but still. Looking forward very eagerly to future updates.

Curious thing; The autopatcher seems to think that vanilla plate armour is clothing. If I want to make plate armour out of metal,I need to allow ordinary clothing to be made of metals. Additionaly,all other traditionally metal pre-industrial armour I have in my load order,with the sole exception of Vanilla Factions Expanded - Vikings' assorted metal armours,are clothing in the eyes of the algorithm. Additionally,all crowns,even the vanilla crown,are seen as clothing,and thus,use the clothing settings in the algorithm. Again,the sole exception here is the Jarl's Crown from VFE-Vikings.

Gonna have to refine your algorithm.

@Rat Look at the second screenshot on this mod page. You can see in there "Armor settings dropdown". I'm willing to bet that you'll see a list of materials in there that armor can be made out of. And I'm pretty sure that you can manually allow or forbid types of material that armor can be made out of or generated.

Haven't used the mod, but this seems like a pretty basic level of mod functionality to me. I'm about to ditch Stuffable Flaks and Marine Armor Materials since they cause pawn generation errors, so I'm willing to give this mod a shot. Here's hoping it works, gonna save a local copy of this mod through RimPy so I can game awhile with it.

Having the same issue where the majority of mod-added armors are being treated as cloth - I'd really like an option to add or remove specific items from the lists.

I do quite enjoy this but for whatever reason all my armours are being listed as clothing. mainly plate armour and anything from medieval overhaul.

So I *think* that this mod is responsible, but I just had a mechanoid supply shipment that I raided where the supplies contained a bunch of turret weapons.
Not the turrets themselves, just the guns for them (all made out of steel).

Equipping them broke the pawn (couldn't shoot, bottom bar vanished) until I equipped with a different weapon, where the turret gun vanished.

Also there might be something going on when there are defs in the config file for a mod that isn't loaded anymore that causes a massive slowdown on the individual item editor. Mine was running at like 5-10 FPS until I deleted the config file to reset them, it's still not great but it's better.

(using the github version) For some reason, a lot of the apparel and weapons from the Outer Rim series of mods aren't showing up in the individual editor. The defs are getting loaded since they all show up in other mods such as Cherry Picker and RIMMSqol, but only the Thermal Detonator Belt and Charric weapons show up in Stuffable Core.

The individual editor is very welcome, thank you. One category that might be worth adding separately is "wool" to make it easier to set certain clothes towards being for warmth

Hello! There is a new update on github with the next set of changes, it will be on steam once the warcaskets are fixed with this version, you can find it above under Source Mod. It's ui has been revamped, search algorithms reworked, and now a specific item editor!

small update, fixed stuffed body parts from not saving and added an additional setting to enable raw veg food for stuff. Also included a zip inside the assemblies for VEF Pirates, you can unzip it and used the dll if you have it loaded in the mod list otherwise it will break trying to look for VE dependencies, I am still looking into a way to make this fully conditional without making it a whole new "add-on" mod

is it possible for a next update to be able to choose what metallic matérial i want for thing like for exemple choose to make cloth from plasteel but not from uranium

Ah ok, I did update it to check to make sure if it's considered a weapon that it also doesn't contain the resource tag and checking for drug the stuffed beer was funny too

Wood is being not stuffed, but the Archotech Fragments from MoreArchotechGarbage still are. I edited the Def to change thingCategories from "Resources" to "Manufactured" and on relaunch it was no longer stuffed.

MrKociak is scrapping the mod and starting from scratch, so I'm not going to worry about unless this shows up in his new version. :)

Weirdly it was doing the same to the resources from MoreArchotechGarbage, Had to drop all Weapon 'stuffing' to fix. *sigh* time to reinstall RIMMSQol...

@Daemon976 That's because wood logs are technically weapons. I think it happens when you check the expand to more items box thing. I just used RIMMSQol to fix it.

yup happens at startup when settings are being loaded for the first time, looking into it, but once you have the setting updated the errors will go away, and you may get some about "weapon cost" or something related to that, it is safe to ignore
