question for the stalking stance, mine is at -25% to ambush, when i have a 30% rate on my lord. is it supposed to not show the difference? or is it a minor bug?

@npdejong On principle it should work as it only enables ambushes for WEs. Maybe test it out.

There should be no update needed for this to work unless CA really changes the database tables it changes.

Regardless, I absolutely love the idea of finally being able to ambush as the wood elves, as that is just very thematic for them. I actually like that you didn't give the stalk a new icon, as I'm using SFO so that might conflict with it (provided this works with SFO). Does it need an update? Or it is more like with other mods that it doesn't need one as it only adds a chance to ambush?

+1 for changing the default icon to represent the stalk stance
That said, I just started playing TWW3 and figured out masterful ambush actually let's you to move and attack now, so this isn't as mandatory as it was TWW2

is there a chance you can make a mod like this but for vampire counts, ive always imagined the vampire counts to be lurking in the forests and ambushing just like they did in the warhammer 1 trailer

Are you sure that the stance is not stalking? It has the same icon as the normal stance. See the screenshot I have from the mod page.

my sisters campaing didnt have the stalk only the normal basic one, even if on mod manager says is working normal, my wood elves but mainly sisters dont have stalk any idea why?

Sorry, I uh... I'm used to skaven and Oxyotol (I have a mod that gives him stalk too) and was used to the symbol, No it works, good mod.

I cannot replicate what you are saying. In my game Drycha does have stalk as does every other WE character. In any case the mod, in the DB table that handles stances, gives stalk to WE as a whole not to each individual lord separately.

Is there a reason why Drycha can't stalk?

This is standard for all stalking armies. You can see it in my screenshot as well. It is -15% from whatever the normal ambush chance you have is. The actual success chance of an ambush you can see by leaving your cursor on the terrain.

When I hover over the stalk ability it says "Ambush Success Rate -15%"

does this mean I can't ambush ever? Or is there a way to see the success chance?

Yeah, I tend to agree that it would make sense in a magical forest, rather than... on plains and in deserts.

Should be fixed now, there was some weird going on with the db. Now it applies only to Wood Elves as expected.

@Colithiel The mod works fine, unless CA changes something in regards to the campaign stances of the Wood Elves this mod will ALMOST always keep working.

I am looking into it @Obelus there is no reason why it should, the mod is minimised to only change the wood elf lines in the database.

Still shows the mod has not been updated since December, does it need an update?

I have not tested with SFO. If that mod changes the WE entry of the stance table in some way then this will not work probably.

Yes, it works. Well the first thing is make sure that you did the editing correctly. In game when you hover over the stance icon does it say that you have a chance to ambush like it does in the screen shot I have posted?

Assuming that you indeed did everything correctly in the db editing side you might be having very low ambush chance? So you might have been unlucky.

Does this work? I edited the mod so it works with Cathay but never got any ambush battles.

@Седой Yeah I remember that from WH2 but in WH3 the Skaven have the normal dash (-) icon as well for their stalking stance so it is good to be the same for Wood Elves for consistency.

hi, if you want stalk option with proper icon you need following 2 db files campaign_stance_effects_junctions_tables and campaign_stances_factions_junctions_tables. just sharing
