- The tool will display a list of conflicts, showing which files are conflicting between the mods.
- Review these conflicts to understand what aspects of the game each mod is trying to alter.
6. Resolving Conflicts
- Resolving conflicts typically involves editing the conflicting files or choosing which mod's changes to prioritize.
- You may need to manually edit the PackFiles or use additional tools provided by RPFM to resolve conflicts.
7.Save Changes
8.Test the Game
3. **Load the Mods**:
- Go to `File` > `Open PackFile`.
- Navigate to the Total War: Warhammer 3 data directory, usually located in your Steam folder under `steamapps\common\Total War WARHAMMER III\data`.
- Select the mod files (with `.pack` extension) you want to check for conflicts and open them.
4. **Analyzing for Conflicts**:
- Once the mods are loaded, go to `Tools` in the menu bar.
- Look for an option like `Check for Conflicts` or `Compare PackFiles`. This tool allows you to compare the contents of different PackFiles to find overlapping or conflicting files.
I have the RPFM, i have checked for tutorials how to use it, but only found like how to merge mods, so asked AI - however, as our dear assistant likes to make mistakes, but its still more than nothing, can i ask you just to confirm that the direction it gave me is correct "to use RPFM to detect mod conflicts in total war 3"
I have other crash as well, while playing nakai and hoovering over a unit in a green skin crisis stack and actually i really like this run so trying to fix the conflict(s) 🤣
No worries
It might be the scrap upgrades mod? If you download rpfm, you can probably take a look through the ids for replacing projectiles, see if there's a conflict there. If I remember, there was also a conflict-solving mod for one of the unit upgrade mods that had stuff for mine in there?
Will do a SS of the skill panel might give a hint.
Anyway, wish you mate happy new year and thank you for your effort making this game better quality and more fun every time you touch it. Respect!
Can't replicate the crash, I'm afraid - a conflict is most likely. Are you using any other mods that affect Quarrellers?
Selecting the skill is ok, however, if after that i try to recruit quarrellers or just hover the mouse over existing ones the game crash.
Any idea?
Bugman's Rangers already get a different type of crossbow bolt; didn't want to mess with it.
Is this intended, a bug or a potential mod conflict with SFO for some reason?
