another tip is to use the Translation Widget (2) when positioning custom comps. doing so ensures that all the objects keep their orientation (Just grabbing anywhere and dragging can cause objects in the comp to reset to 100% upright.
it’s just not very clear how to build a trench system normally
first you need to make holes in the ground with the Deformer, so to speak, then spawn the trenches from the mod
only now the fps is sitting devilishly
it took me more than 6 hours to make a short trench system
applying a deformer and adjusting the trenches to the terrain
it’s pretty tedious and dreary to make such a system and all this in 10 fps (despite the fact that I have an RTX 3060, 16gb SSD, and an i5-11400H processor 6-cores 12-threads)
although I think that there is a way to do it easier and faster, but I'm just doing something wrong
it would be cool if the author of the mod made a video about creating a trench system
like in your demo
in the meantime, it is not entirely clear how to make such a system without hemorrhoids
thank you in advance)
Test it yourself in SP if you need to, but i wouldn't expect it to work.
It would be nice to also have a version with the green sandbags from tanoa, it would fit really well with a lot of green scenarios.
Cheers!
