@MrShroom iirc vermin are not entirely flavor, but theyre sort of just flavor. they do not attack and can not breed, theyre supposed to be either a background annoyance (rats in yr fort) or just small creatures (i assume) too intense to simulate like birds. i believe the practical use of this mod would be to allow you to breed crows, simply because you like them.

installed this mod and started a new world + fortress only for my dwarves to be wiped out by 2 crows in the first 2 weeks

I have given this mod every single award I can, for the simple fact that it protects the crow's honor.

@Tynian87116 I agree. I have a flock that protects my yard and ALL of the animals within it just because I have fed them and the squirrels and birds for a couple of years. Some of the Alphas will sometimes bring us gifts to our door(shiny metal trash, colors of plastic, glass, etc). They keep the hawks away and last week chased a coyote. Keep in mind, I live on a river in a suburb of a major US city. They are truly awesome.

Nice mod!

As an aside, I'd really like to see a mod add AI to crows so that they act like they do in real life, be nice to them, get some shinies and the protection of them for ages to come, offend them and attract their ire for ages to come.
