If you had the salt be a liquid (like a salty brine or something?) then at least you wouldn't get meals made only of salt, as meals require at least one solid ingredient.

It would be really cool if you could use the salt to make preserved meat pots or something like jerky

I would like to do that (no salt-only foods, not basinc foods), but game might not be set up to mod cooking to that extent. I will give it a try

In meantime, i would like to expand on kitchen salt economy to make it more to mimic real world salt production from salt rock where mined rock salt is dissolved in water and purified before being processed.

It might be possible to only allow those in fine or lavish meals in the files? Although a meal essentially made out of pure rock does sound dwarfy alright.

@Ultimuh Hmmm, I don't want entire meals made out of salt. Let me know if it's used in a limited, seasoning sense.
