@Photoshop Kink It Up Extra is B41 only. Most part of it was ported to B42 in the Frockin Splendor series of mods.

What Mr Retrad_ is saying is that it’s very difficult to debug B42 since he plays B41, and the fact that B42 is constantly being updated makes the issue worse. I hope this clears things up!

Looks like Kink It Up! Extra requires Authentic Z - Lite. My server failed to download your mod because I don't have Authentic Z enabled. Copy-pasting the required mask PNGs from OpenJacketLong/Masks let it finish downloading your mod though.

I don't mean to be the harbinger of bad news, but b42 is not about NPCs, Retrad_. It focuses on crafting, new mechanics and a longer game feel, animals, hunting and farming. NPCs will be the focus of b43, so that's a fairly long way down the line still.

Would love to see more kink gear added. Keep up the good work.

this version of the mod was built on the idea that it has everything you can name, and nothing more. from the pieces you can assemble any latex variant, there's no reason to dilute the spawn pool with slightly longer or shorter sleeves, slightly different shades of clothes so they juuust don't match each other, and so on. if you want more clothes, i recommend Frockin' Splendor developed by my buddy. his approach is more in line with what you're looking for

Hmmm, the clothing sadly cant seem to be repaired?

Not sure why but neither this nor kink it up extra are showing up in my B41 modlist.

Anything in the common or version specific folders (42,42.0, 42.1.0 etc) will only get used by version 42. Anything outside those folders will only get used by B41. Due to fun bugs some things like the preview image and mod icon only work if they are in "42", maps only work in "common" and AnimSets don't work all but but sorta-maybe-kinda load bits from the B41 folder paths.

I just unsubscribes/resubscribed so steam re-downloaded this mod, and I see the exact same content in WC_Distributions.lua in both \common\media\lua\server\items and \media\lua\server\items (the old B41 "WardrobeWoman" version)

well then, i'll take some funny text on the preview branch, over b41 commiting toaster bath, reverting in 3.... 2... 1...

i was under the impression b41 uses the root folder, and b42 uses "common"

i know that's not logical, but that's how i got it to work, so i'd appreciate if anyone with b41 would tell me whether they still spawn good or not, i can't reinstall the game to check.

@Retrad_: It absolutely will break the mod for B41, as the devs overhauled B42's distros. IIRC, WardrobeGeneric doesn't exist as a container function in B41, so the update will break the mod for B41 users in more or less the same fashion as it was broken for B42 users.

What you can do is add a version of the distro in a file inside the 42 folder in your mod, as was intended by the PZ devs for this exact use case. files in 42 override their counterparts in the original/b41 mod folder. This way, the mod will work for both B41 and B42 users.

@Madman_Andre replaced WardrobeWoman with WardrobeGeneric in the world distribution file of the "common" branch, really hope that only affects b42 and not b41

If someone wants a way to fix the bug that prevents this mod's contents from spawning in the world in anything other than a bedroom dresser, I outlined a quickfix you can do in the bug report above. I recommend giving it a try since 2/3rds of the item distributions are broken otherwise.

I'd be perfectly fine with the repair being unrealistic, I just want an option to repair my clothes since these aren't exactly the most common items to find.

Also maybe check out something like authentic Z and how they do their worlds spawns? Could try to use the same method they do for their world spawns since they don't have the error.

the b41 version has some repair functions, b42 crafting is not done yet so i can't build on it.
there is no way in zomboid to use metal and a welding torch to fix your medieval armor, so i can't make a realistic repair system for rubber clothes

@Quilava i have no idea how to fix your issue, i know which file causes it but i don't know how to update it to b42, and disabling it would disable all world-spawns
