Oh, I can't really fix the huge log of dead pets with temporary summons unfortunately.

Ah okay. They still show as pets on the pyromancer even after they vanish - so one I've had for like 16 years has a lot of them. Thanks though I thought I was doing something wrong :)

They're not meant to last more than an in-game day to keep pyromancers from simply constantly resummoning them. It should be a day of uptime with two ingame days of down time, which is rather quick in DF.

My Fire men spawned by my pyromancers seem to vanish instantly.

I don't know whether or not it weights the amount of secrets total compared to the amount of secrets desired when you generate a world. It's kind of fiddly, because lots of secrets may go for a very long time without getting discovered. Having a high amount of secrets and a world with a long history seems to be the best way to encourage that magical knowledge is discovered and spread.

Awesome mod. Would adding "duplicates" of each of these types increase their frequency relative to the game generated necromancy ones? Which tags have to be unique across the new modded secrets?

I haven't put much thought into those interactions, but some more insidious infiltrators and solo freak monsters rolling up could be interesting. I'll have to ponder some options!

These are great. I'm yet to do my Genesis mod interactions, and I am playing with my dwarves and your kobolds only. This really helps to make the secrets more fun!

Do you plan to revisit Werebeast and Vampire curses too?

Yep! Just like how necromancers will hold onto their slabs and write books about life and death, the other secrets are capable of being taught through reading the secret instructions.

It's a bit beyond the scope of this mod due to the way secrets and literature works.

Funny enough in world generation, it's possible. Since dragons are associated with Fire, there's a chance that someone obsessed with immortality will end up being taught the secrets of Inner Flame with this mod. It's all world generations legends stuff, to have your dwarfs learn ingame they'll need the slab containing said secret or a copy written by someone who's already learned the secret. The only lessons megabeasts will teach you in fortress mode are in pain and death.

Also, secrets have to be taught by a megabeast or god that shares the same sphere. Generally, death gods seem to take a more active role in ruining the world and teaching secrets than other sorts.

If you're trying to increase the number of necromancers/mages, you're going to jack up the 'number of secret types' value up. Be warned, the more wizards you have running around the more likely the world's going to collapse from legions of dark monsters roving around.

It isn't 100%, it's just thrown into the mix with other secrets on worldgen. Don't forget to go back to the basic/detailed worldgen options after you select the mods to load so they'll load properly, I can't account for the wonkiness of the mod loader.
