First of all, thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I can’t join Discord because I live in Turkey.
As you might know, Discord has been blocked here.
Still, I really appreciate your suggestion and the time you took to reply.

Hey there! I believe that would require come coding, which I have 0 knowledge for, this mod is 100% datasheet edited

You could try asking on the discussions or the game discord's server!

Hi bro, I’d like to kindly request something:

In Uboat, when the captain dies and we promote an officer to captain, they wear a special suit uniform. If you're curious, it looks like:

1. The man next to the mission vehicle
2. The one from whom we recruit crew members

This uniform exists in-game but is hidden and only wearable by the captain under certain conditions. I want to make it available to all officers, and if possible, the entire crew.

I'm not a modder, but I’ve done research that might help—please don’t take this as ego.

I believe if we replace an existing outfit (like “jacket-05”) with this special uniform, it could solve the issue easily.

If you can create and upload this mod to the Workshop, I’d be very happy. A few friends of mine also want this uniform, and I’d love for others to enjoy it too. Thanks in advance!

Remember to uninstall the original Realistic Uniforms I've set as dependency (It is not necessary for Casual Crew to work)
GJC  [author] 6 Jun @ 12:54pm
No problema! Have fun!
Drex 6 Jun @ 12:52pm
thanks^^
GJC  [author] 6 Jun @ 12:44pm
It does work with Realistic Uniforms revived by the way! Enjoy!

Remember to start a new save
GJC  [author] 6 Jun @ 12:43pm
Remember: The Outdated message you see at the mods means nothing at all, all they do is check if the mod authors have wrote the current version on the mod info file, which would require us to constantly release updates on it or write several lines in advance

TLDR: Just because the launcher says a mod is outdated, doesn't mean it isn't working
Drex 6 Jun @ 12:43pm
and to find out if it works with Realistic Uniforms revived? thanks^^
GJC  [author] 6 Jun @ 12:41pm
Still working
Drex 6 Jun @ 12:39pm
news please?
marLeo 8 Oct, 2024 @ 6:41am
Makes sense.
GJC  [author] 8 Oct, 2024 @ 4:09am
I really apreciate your research!

But, I was discussing some of the ethics about that, I don't think it would be respectful for the families of the ones (KIA or not) to have their names and appearance put into a game so we can have fun

After all, most games have that "Characters shown here aren't based on real persons" warning for a reason
marLeo 8 Oct, 2024 @ 3:18am
@GJC I could probably help you with the crew names.
In light of my U-48 campaign, I've done some research about the boat and its crew.
For example, at the beginning of the war, the confirmed officers of U-48 were:
Commander (Kptlt.) Herbert Schultze
I. WO (LT) Reinhard Suhren (1st LT on 1 Oct. 1939)
II. WO (LT) Otto Christian Ites
LI (LT Ing.) Willi Edmund Lohner

That's also the structure of officers on all type VII and IX U-boats. The rest, like the radio operator or 2nd engineer were made up off NCO ranks.
Type II's had 3 officers + NCO's.
Type XXI's would have had 5 officers + NCO's.

I think, similar research can be done on other boats.
Pictures of them, if available at all, can best be found by Google search.
GJC  [author] 3 Sep, 2024 @ 12:02pm
That's a very good idea, I'm taking a small break of UBOAT but once I'm back in I can take a look.

In theory, it's possible to even give their real names and all, but, the biggest challenge would be finding pictures of them working, etc.

Do you have any Guide to creating the commanding Officers that are historical accurate go along with this mod. I've started with a few, some of the faces are easier (example Prien could be done) but sometimes skintone or hair aren't too obvious. sq_paradox script or unique Commanders needs an update and I'm not sure UBE has them all and still needs a lengthy update and link hasn't published historical Commanders so a Guide to creating an accurate Leutnant per U-Boat would be great. Also I'd think U-138 would have Wolfgang Lüth as the commanding Officer, which was more demanding appropriate clothing on his Officers atleast for that timeframe - seems to have laxed on the later expedition when taking the voyage to Indian Ocean - so may be something to consider that some few were more strict. I think Emblems Expended and UBE add a few more U-Boat Stories could you give them your treatment with this mod aswell per chance ?
GJC  [author] 14 Aug, 2024 @ 6:13pm
I usually aim for realism! I made a collection with the mods I use, should be somewhere below the mod's name

And yes, it is updated, ignore the launcher warnings
Becker 14 Aug, 2024 @ 1:16pm
Does anyone knows if it works on new update? Also thank you for all your mods! they are awesome, coulld you say in what settings do you play the game at?
GJC  [author] 15 Jun, 2024 @ 4:55pm
And don't worry, there is no conflict, using it is optional, but I personally recommend
GJC  [author] 15 Jun, 2024 @ 4:25pm
Not needed, don't worry

I've set it as a requirement because it looks way better than vanilla
He-Man 15 Jun, 2024 @ 3:59pm
Wait so you need the realistic uniforms mod too? would they not conflict?
WhjiteWolf 13 Jun, 2024 @ 4:09am
Could be a beta bug. Trying to get the mission in game but i'm not being lucky so far.
GJC  [author] 13 Jun, 2024 @ 4:04am
Oh? Hmm.... Thanks for the report, I gonna check but I haven't touched the spy clothes since I think they are tied to the normal sailor random clothing selection
WhjiteWolf 13 Jun, 2024 @ 3:40am
Works as intended from what i can see, but on the mission where you land spies on to Alexandria the spy came on board with no clothes other than floating hands and face.
Needs more testing to see if the mod caused it or one of the beta bugs.
GJC  [author] 7 Jun, 2024 @ 6:32pm
The warning of compatibility serves no purpose, all it does is that it reads the version the authors have put into the files, just because the version state is not the current one doesnt mean it doesnt work

As for the icons, could you elaborate better? Have you started a new save? They just released a new patch
aplaceinthesky 7 Jun, 2024 @ 5:36am
I get strange sailors icon like with mess background behind their pictures
aplaceinthesky 7 Jun, 2024 @ 5:32am
I see still not compatible in the launcher, does it work?
John Helldiver 30 May, 2024 @ 12:07pm

Hey guys! It's updated and functional for the beta, and I'm working on the new officers!
GJC  [author] 19 Apr, 2023 @ 6:49am
Yes, a new save is needed.
Sgt. Moody 19 Apr, 2023 @ 4:09am
Hello, it doesn't work for me, sailors still look the same as before. Do you have to start a new game?
GJC  [author] 12 Mar, 2023 @ 3:12pm
Thank you :)
Rageba1t 12 Mar, 2023 @ 2:27pm

Looks good, Rated & Faved. :GravityCat:👍
GJC  [author] 2 Feb, 2023 @ 8:39am
That's good to know, I hope you enjoy the mod!
🐾𝓢𝓱𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔀💖 2 Feb, 2023 @ 8:37am
While waiting, I tried it before "RU" and it works, so I'll leave it like it is.
GJC  [author] 2 Feb, 2023 @ 8:33am
I use it after, but I haven't tested with the order really matters
🐾𝓢𝓱𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔀💖 2 Feb, 2023 @ 7:52am
Should this Mod be Before, or After "Realistic Uniforms" I'm guessing Before. :GravityCat:
GJC  [author] 22 Dec, 2022 @ 8:20am
Now I can see it haha!

Regarding the NCO hat for the officer, go to the Crew datasheet, and inside the Unique Characters tab, you will be able to customize the starting officers for each campaign, click on the desired officer and find this parameter "cap": "",

Simply write Cap NCO inside the empty quotation marks, it will look like this:
"cap": "Cap NCO",

Sadly, it can only be done for starting officers, and if you give another hat to the officer that you assigned an nco hat at the files, that cap will be locked and you won't be able to re-equip him with the nco hat.

I hope this helps!

Nice work, GJC! And thank you for your kind compliments about the Realistic Uniforms mod :steamhappy:

I'm interested to see how you made the radio officer start the game with an NCO cap. I tried that myself a few months ago and it didn't seem to work.
GJC  [author] 22 Dec, 2022 @ 6:35am
Hey Jim! Your comment is hidden and says that it wasn't revised by the Steam verification system and it's been almost a day, could you write another?

Thank you, I have been waiting for a mod like this for a while now!
GJC  [author] 14 Dec, 2022 @ 1:53pm
Sailors will use casual clothing in all campaigns, but I only customized officers for the U-96 campaign.
Wrath of the North 14 Dec, 2022 @ 1:44pm
I'm guessing this only works for U-96?
