There is no issue with empty modlist, and the issue happens when storages start to be "far" from workbench (~17 tiles away).
I can try to find the conflicting mod when I finished to update my modlist to 1.5.
-it would be great to add a way to create a custom rule for "best".
-at the very least, an option to "minimize" the cost of the crafting. For instance if we're just training a low level crafter, we can set him to use the cheapest materials for all his bills
It seems pawns only look inside the nearest shelf...
Just now, crafted a plainleather corset when wolfskin is available, then try to do same with formal vest ("use best by armor" checked)
What recipe did you craft?
What settings did you have for the crafting bill (particularily the ones added by the mod).
What materials did it use and what were you expecting?
Where and how were the expected and used materials stored?
Can you try without any preformance mods?

That, and a lot of mods are apparently able to throw these errors and I'm not sure if VE is the cause of a lot of... the spam. Could be something else not interacting well. Who knows.
Should be fixed now.
Thanks for telling me so I could fix it. :)
Hope this helps.
To make the error less intrusive, I made it just be inactive for items that give this error (still giving it once in the log).
Your log file contains a bunch of XML errors. Did you change your mod setup for an old save? That can cause various issues. Otherwise I suspect that one of your other mods causes one of the fabrics from Biomes! Caverns to have a broken item definition.

I changed one thing that could be the issue. Please unsubscribe, wait a few seconds and then subscribe again, to force Steam to update the mod. Also please let me know if it solved the problem.
The UI is completely gone, save for its shadow, and the error happens every frame.
It could be a different mod, but. I do have RimPy, but couldn't identify exactly what was going on through the Log Analyzer.
I was not able to reproduce the error. What were you doing when it occurred? (What workstation, what recipe, what did you do in the UI?)

I hope you let the RimPy team know what order it should be loaded in.
Thanks for the great job.
Also - 837 mods? Would be a miracle if nothing breaks...
I did however get several exceptions from ModularWeapons, but they occurred whith only it and Harmony active. I would recommend not using ModularWeapons based on that.
Can you post a link to an error log? Ctrl-F12 with HugsLib active.
- Visual Exception tells me an error every tick (roughly)
- Exception filling window occurs when pointing at "Butcher Creature" (butcher rotten's bill is unaffected)
- All other bills merge underneath Butcher Creature
- Bill can't be created, but info panel can be opened (no hyperlinks? I think it also lacks information on the panel too)
And that's about it.
What are the symptoms?
The meal bills filter that Victor suggested has not been implemented yet.
