we really need mods/features that allow people to join later in the game, not just the beginning

I just want something that makes it if I lag, I can pick stuff up and not without delay.

PSA: To anyone who doesn't know, the Quality of Death update has allowed full map XP share. So you don't need to worry anymore.

Mini map sharing is hit or miss, it's an issue with desync though. Works fine for me and others, unfortunately can't do much to fix it

The shopkeeper seems to be bugged. Thanks for the reminder I'll just remove that until I can get it to work or they update it to let me actually change it more easily.

Everything in this works for me even in the QoD update, but the shopkeeper part seems to never work at all either or I am just missing something here?

@gort yea that part isnt working for me either. I did set the spawn chance for other shopkeepers to be zero, so i have no clue. also the map sharing is bugged too but it seems to be a desync issue more than anything

and about all we can do about that mapshare thing not working, is ask the devs if they could look into why it desyncs so much

note that it might work if you and your friend group are lucky; but in general it will cause all the issues people are bringing up

it's the map sharing. I've tested that extensively and it is very desync prone, beta or otherwise.

@Phantom I have no idea what could be causing that, would you happen to be running any other mods with it?

@jeff haven't tried it out quite yet, but it does use code already in the file so it should

@Gwar Goobah Stan I haven't run into any of those problems, are you playing with any other mods? I only adjusted code that was already in the game so I can see about maybe adjusting it to make it work more solidly but no promises

Map's don't Sync, Enemies are Invisible, Are you and your friend playing on a certain version of the game?
Completely understandable if you don't want to fix it, since it looks like a hobby-made mod, but this could be HUGE, if you'd be willing to update it.

So I tried this mod out with a friend and the mod was very bugged for me I was the one joining the host, the hatch was in a completely different place to my friend some enemies were just invisible to me but not my friend as well as there being items that are on the floor were completely different to what they looked like for example a green staff turned into a rock when I picked it up tables fountains chest all look like bronze maces
