kinda bad to open a menu and not be able to build anything because i can't see any menu
Fireplaces. 1 tile would be cool enough, but if it could be as wide as you wanted to build it then that would be excellent for big, huge mead halls and dining rooms.
Not sure if it's possible, but rugs would be cool for the same reason. Maybe it could be done by making it possible to build constructed floors out of cloth.
Fountains would also be neat. Bonus points if they could generate mist, but that's probably 100x more work.
Indoor/Outdoor plants
Toilet & sink
Long chair (can be resized and oriented like bridge)
Long table (can be resized)
Some recreational furniture like a chessboard (can be multi-tile if necessary)
Night stand (also serve as display case)
small candles that can be displayed as item
Re-sizeable carpet like road
multi tile water fountain
- a bookshelf with actual books
- piles of floor books to decorate libraries
- piles of treasure to decorate a vault (if the treasure texture edges mesh even better)
- a memorial different from a engraved slab, maybe a sarcophagus with a dwarf laid on top knight-style
- clusters of bags/crates and materials fort of like in the trade depot, to sprinkle around certain workshop rooms
- carpets made out of the skins of a few invader types; like werebeasts, forgotten beasts, elves...
- a longtable even if non-functional, but with a feast on top of it

"Constructions (including workshops) inside a room increase a room's value"
Too bad these are made from basic rocks, but if I were to update them to real materials, it could change.
The only moddable things at the moment are "workshops", and those occupy their own tiles.
A carpet would be nice for noble rooms.
A proper desk for offices
A railing to stick near drops
Directional/warning signs for your work areas
Alternative seating, perhaps? Like benches, church pews, or armchairs.
Alternative beds could also work, like hammocks, 4-posters, or sleeping bags
Things to put in doorways could work too, like curtains or arches.
A bathtub or washbasin
Fountains and decorative shrubbery
Training dummies would be a great addition to barracks (think scarecrow but goblin)
Dog houses and chicken coops would also be a fun touch.
Skulls on sticks and other grim monuments would be handy outside wartorn fortresses.
So I do not understand the suggestion, could you elaborate?
@Steev I was thinking about skulls on spikes and such, thanks!
1) These can only be made as Workshops. Workshops do not have categories so sadly it spams the main workshop menu.
2) It cannot have any functionality, thus "vanity". Any other functionality would be tasks as in other workshops.
3) When you want to add new ones, you have to generate a new world, as reactions and buildings have to be "baked" into save file. I will look into a possibility to change it, i.e. make a few "placeholder" buildings that do nothing that I later fill with content.
-decorative columns (circular/hexagonal etc) would be nice to have something other than constructed or smoothed walls for this purpose!
-potted plants (could be mushrooms if that's too elven)
-side table with stuff on it (variants could be crystals and gems, tools, medical supplies, foodstuff, etc) for use to decorate bedrooms and workshops
Sorry if that's a bit much.
