Yea this isn't working, even when correct in the mod list
Kuehnau 2 Feb, 2024 @ 3:04am
I have this installed, it has never worked.

Do the walls change color depending on the type of stone? I am looking for a mod to change all stone types to the same color when smoothed. I am getting tired of having my fortresses look like a bag of skittles.

Try updating the mod @Queen of England

Getting an error. Was fine a couple of days ago.
Plz help, really don't want to abandon this fortress

Good tweak but it's not for me

I really appreciate how this mod makes it so I can fill in gaps left by ore without feeling annoyed by the huge difference in tile appearance.

I would like it if the engraved block walls had the same updated engraving visual as the engraved smooth rock walls.

Very nice. Thank you for the fix and the new mod Trash Panda.

For those who were asking for the same but for floors:

Yeah it should be fixed now.
STARSLAYER 29 Dec, 2022 @ 7:56pm
You can fix this before the mod creator does by going into the mod's folder (open game location on Steam then mods then 2903899471) and editing the part about requiring 'environment' out. But it's a very easy fix so I imagine by the time anyone reads this it could be updated already.
✪ BubbaYo 29 Dec, 2022 @ 6:45pm
Can't seem tp enable this in a new worldgen. If I move it above vanilla_environment it remains orange. Having some experience with other modding, I question the 'require environment' since that's not obviously a file given 'vanilla_environment'. It suggests a dependency on another mod 'environment'. This is 50.04.

That said, having smoothed floors look like block floors would be wonderful. Smooth floors are very boring.

@Rocky Bukkake

I would take this up with the author of the Burning Remains mod first.

@Tomsk @Shayle Thorne

I've had a look in the files and I haven't been able to find any indication of values tied to smoothed/constructed walls, so I'm not sure on whether or not it's possible.

Unless someone else knows of course.

Agree with @Shayle Thorne, would be a lot more useful if it made smoothed and constructed walls have the same monetary value as well.
Vegan For The Animals 24 Dec, 2022 @ 4:52pm
@Trash Panda
Is this possible for floors as well?
Jojee  [author] 24 Dec, 2022 @ 4:00pm
@Forte Thanks for that, The only way I can think of to fix it is to replace the vanilla textures which obviously will affect all saves, but any other way I haven't tried
Forte 23 Dec, 2022 @ 9:02pm
if you add this to your info.txt it'll make it more obvious:

[REQUIRES_ID:environment]
[REQUIRES_ID_AFTER_ME:vanilla_environment]

here's an example:

on an unrelated note, if i forgot to do this for a save, is there a way to fix it after the fact? thanks
Nord 22 Dec, 2022 @ 12:09pm
@Trash Panda Awesome! Thanks for taking a peek.
Thrice 22 Dec, 2022 @ 3:27am
Any chance you can make constructed walls worth the same/more than smooth? Seems odd that smoothed natural walls can be better than constructed...
Jojee  [author] 22 Dec, 2022 @ 1:18am
@NordikaMan I'll see what I can do, it seems in vanilla they don't have a texture file at all so it'll take some poking around to figure it out
Nord 21 Dec, 2022 @ 11:56pm
Would it be possible to make constructed walls with engravings use your engraved texture?
Jojee  [author] 20 Dec, 2022 @ 8:51am
I think it's possible, but I'm not sure if it can be done without overwriting the entire material colour, so it wouldn't just change smoothed walls.
Wilhelm 20 Dec, 2022 @ 7:08am
@Sanakan, good idea I would love to see this too
Sanakan 19 Dec, 2022 @ 7:46pm
could you make a variant of this mod that gives every smooth wall the same color tone to give the fort a more unified look when digging in different types of stone?
clickthecreeper 19 Dec, 2022 @ 12:42pm
absolutely love it, exactly what I was looking for. I never liked the smooth wall look, so this is perfect.
Shadowguardian91 19 Dec, 2022 @ 8:23am
Oh hell yes thank you!
