I have more important things than DF modding going on for the foreseeable future. Luckily the vanilla graphics have improved and might continue to improve.

Not only that, it seems that this mod reverts the children/baby sprites.

Theoretically it should be compatible but the dependency could cause an issue where it will not start.

Is this mod compatible with Accurate Domestic Animal Graphics Compilation, as long as I put it before this mod? The Domestic Animal mod doesnt replace vanilla_creatures_graphics, it is merely dependent on loading before it. That dependency can replaced with this mod as far I understand, according to the other mod compatibility description.

I see. If you wish to test them, install DFHack and, in the gui/createitem, type in "frilly" or "flowing metal".

I have tested with regular artifacts and it works. I have not found any special ones with strange style modifiers so I don't know about those. Could go either way.

Peace and blessings be upon you and your loved ones. The invisible-dwarf-unit-square is something I've experienced even before this mod, so I do not think this mod is to blame.

That said, does this even include *frilly* items?

Ah okay! If that's the case it's not a huge issue if it isn't affecting the actual dwarfs on the map.

I've noticed that as well. Never seen it affect the map display though. My guess is it has something to do with large tiles being trimmed into the unit list.

I noticed that this mod makes some Dwarfs go "invisible" when equipping certain objects. Unfortunately I haven't narrowed down what objects is doing this, but I noticed it only happens to my military dwarfs when equipping armor and weapons.

Specifically I have them wearing all iron gear and equipping silver warhammers.

Yes I have been able to play with all other mods fine. I even tried verifying the game files and fresh installing. I tried all builds of the game. It just crashes as soon as I unpause after the embark.

I dont know why but whenever I have this mod enabled it just straight up crashes the game seconds after unpausing after an embark.

Does this mod work with the babies update that was just released? I noticed it's incompatible with and requires the deactivation of the vanilla creature graphics, but if we disable the latest version of that won't that also remove the babies graphics update?

A unit equipped with a platinum whip artifact did not show any weapon in the sprite (maybe it was too overpowered for the game to even allow such a thing to be displayed).

Do I have to place the mod at the same exact place than creature graphics for it to work or I can place it under vanilla music or with all the other mods and its the same ? :)

@Nightskies the instruction above to remove vanilla_creatures_graphics means in the Mods list in the Mods setting window when creating a new world, not the file in the game folder.

it's only necessary to open up the game files if you have existing worlds which you want to add the mod to. I don't want to give people instructions how to do that because I haven't done it myself and if my instructions are bad, or if they do it wrong for some other reason, then they will come complain to me.

It wasn't hard to find, but it would be convenient to mention the folder is! I was looking for a file.
