@nono, just don't enable the [BODIES] submod. If you had it enabled when you started a new game you need to disable it FOR THAT SAVE from the Load Game menu. See the pinned FAQ discussion.

Does anyone know how I can play this mode without the new skin textures?

I am happy to report that the Build 42 version of School's Out has been RELEASED! For a number of reasons — not least the dramatic number of backend changes required to make the mod compatible with B42 — I opted to make the B42 version a separate download, which you can find here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3404301631 . I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but this will make everyone's life easier in the long run — especially mine! For those of you still playing on B41, do not despair: as I mention in the updated mod description, I will continue to update/maintain this version at least until B42 becomes the "official" stable build. As always, let me know if you encounter any issues (especially over on B42) and stay tuned for more updates!

Sorry for the delay! I ended up spending a bit more time with family over the holidays than I'd anticipated, as well as finding B42 had a little more to throw at me than I'd initially thought. They've changed a lot about loot distribution tables, so in the process of reworking that I took the opportunity to redo where/how uniforms will be found for B42 (I'll probably push similar changes to B41 later, but I'll get B42 out the door first.) I've just gotten it all working properly last night and will be testing today with a goal to release either tonight or tomorrow barring any last-minute issues.

I'm eagerly waiting for when it will be updated.

If im not wrong, B41 take like ... the whole summer to release as stable, but im still hope you can give us update soon, i cant wear normal outfit like some pleb zombie

@Winblows, there are blue sailor shirts, but the difference is very subtle. I can see how you might think it's just "lighter black." It's more of a deep navy blue, as compared to the grey/black of the black shirts -- it's not, like, Lucky Star blue. It's meant to match the dark navy blue skirts. I'd like to add some brighter colors sometime, I'm just waiting for Build 42 to come out before I do any more major dev work.

im trying to give my character the shirt at the start of the game and the white shirt is either black or just lighter black where the blue should be.

Yeah that what i meant, clothes only spawn in school was what i meant! Otherwise going to school isn't mandatory, for now.

@Saisakii, that sort of granular modification would require poking around in the mod internals -- which is perfectly within your right to do if you know how, but alas I don't have an easier fix for you. You should be able to knock that spawn chance modifier down dramatically though (like, to .00X levels) and have it work, though it wouldn't just be in school lockers and desks. Maybe I can add an option to have school items spawn only in schools.

Hello is it possible to remove certain items and adjust the spawns of clothing in only school lockers and desks? Makes finding them in each random house drawer too much, even at 0.15 spawn chance.

Our multi-server mods keep crashing because of this school uniform mod… 😭 Could you please upload a new mod with just the [MAIN] mods, excluding the [BODIES] file? No matter how much I try to remove the body mods, the problem keeps happening, and the game server won’t even boot at all…!

Hi @paranoid, I'm glad you and your friends are enjoying the mod! I don't have much experience working with MP servers. I know that to remove a mod from a singleplayer save file you can follow the steps in the pinned FAQ thread ("Help, I Can't Disable the Body Retextures!") but servers are a bit different. If you've removed the [BODIES] mod from the active mod list, have you restarted the server? Also, make sure you've removed it both from the Steam Workshop list and the Mods list in the Server Host settings, as per https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Using_mods

We discovered this silly face skin conflict error after setting up a server and having a blast in the game! So, we decided to turn off the [BODIES] mod again, even though both [MAIN] and [BODIES] were still active in the mod list.

I’ve removed [BODIES] from the active mod list, but that pesky face issue is still hanging around in-game! I even let my character take a little nap and respawn, but it’s still the same!

Could you please help me find where the 'More' and 'Choose Mods' menus are? I’ve been having a bit of trouble locating them, and I’d really appreciate your guidance! ^______^

I’m hoping you can help me with a little issue. It seems that this mod has an anime-like face skin that’s clashing with the faces from other mods I’ve downloaded, and now the faces look a bit strange.

Would it be possible to get a mod file that only includes the clothing skins without the face skins? I really want to keep using this lovely uniform mod because it’s so pretty! I’d really appreciate your help! T_T

@pygmalion The pink Neko sweatshirt seems to have the hood portion not rendering for me.

@One-Man Оrgy there are a few areas at LSU that aren't properly zoned in the vanilla map. Off the top of my head the northwest main hall (like, if you go in through the front doors and keep moving straight, past the library) has some "normal zombie bleed" where that part of the school isn't zoned as a "school". That might be what you're experiencing.

If it's definitely an issue of the zombie spawns (like, you're seeing students and normal zombies right next to each other) make sure you don't have any conflicting mods and that you have Dress Code Enforced checked and have Exchange Students unchecked. (Also make sure you're not just mistaking something like a sweater student or a sportswear student for "normal" zombies.)

So, I reinstalled Zomboid and the mod doesn't fully function for the big Louisville school anymore. The inside of the buildings usually spawn only student zombies (on the first floor at least) but now it's got some other zombie types mixed in. The West Point, March Ridge, and other schools in Louisville that's not LSU works however.

Any way I can fix this? Or perhaps there's a sandbox setting I forgot to tick?

Incompatible with the mod "Inventory Tetris".

Whenever there is an unfolded tie inside of the inventory it vanishes and spam errors, within a container it causes the grid to become invisible. Also upon re-loading the save it prevents interacting with containers and makes the entire hud and menus vanish.

- How I re-created the issue:
- Removed all other mods
- Started new save
- On character creation equip any triangle tie
- Unfold tie in-game

@NUKLA, should be compatible, yeah. Depending on the load order you might get different results in schools: either Authentic Z's zombies will spawn and not the SO zombies, or vice versa. (Not actually sure if AZ has overwritten the school zones, I'm just assuming it does.) But the clothing items will work fine no matter what.

the pink hoodie has a visual glitch for me that causes the good to not be visible. has anyone else experienced this and know what other mod might be cuaing it? I use a pretty large mod list so I have no idea where to start.

Please read the comments, this question has been asked dozens of times before...

Disable the [BODIES] submod if you don't want the faces / bodies. If you've already started a game with the submod loaded you'll have to edit the mod list of that save file specifically; just disabling it in the main menu doesn't work. Go through the Load menu: if [BODIES] is part of the save file mod list, go to "More" in the bottom right corner and use the Choose Mods menu to disable it for that save.

I can load the outfits but I am stuck with the default ugly faces and body textures.

It wasn't a particular save file, it was every time I made a new game regardless of whether the mod was enabled or disabled. I did manage to fix it by verifying the files though. Thank you

@magician, disabling mods in the main menu doesn't change the load list for save files, so check that your save file isn't still using the [BODIES] submod.

I tried this and didn't like the faces, so I tried to turn them off by turning off the [BODIES] optional file - but now it seems the faces are stuck as anime forever. I disabled the main mod, uninstalled it, and even tried replacing it with a new mod - and it's still the anime faces for the women. Do I need to go in the game files or something? I have no idea what went wrong

Excellent mod, I really liked it, I highly recommend it, it would be great if you put more uniforms like the one Yuno Gasai wears from the anime Mirai Nikki, the one worn by Ryuko Matoi from Kill la Kill.

is there a way to put the function of the faces of? like only having the clothings?

@Sven, I'm certainly open to suggestions! I'm trying to limit the mod mostly to typically "approved" uniform colors, but if there's interest I could add some more popular colors or even consider creating some extra color addons for people to download if they want.

As for wearing with tights...that's partially an issue with how Zomboid handles clothing. There are workarounds, but they're a bit clumsy, and not high priority since most girls really don't wear socks over tights, esp. not in uniform.
