Odysselios 28 Jun @ 10:21am
Anyone know if this works with Unnatural Selection since it touches faction potential?
Khorne 25 Jun @ 7:33am
What is recommanded here about the two new AI options from patch 6.2 (AI Strength & Threat Assessment / Minor Faction Potential) ? Do we have to enable these two options if we use Hecleas AI Overhaul or is it best to leave them unchecked?
叁柏 24 Jun @ 1:30am

Von Vanvolkvan 21 Jun @ 5:02am

Osttruppen 20 Jun @ 8:06pm
thanks bro
onesimo.fermin61 20 Jun @ 9:23am
Thank you so much for all your work. I wanted to ask, does your mod affect the modified factions?
Hecleas  [author] 20 Jun @ 8:18am
The mod is now updated!
I took the opportunity to balance the AI's task priority for attack/defense.
Also to give a better strategic feel.
Have fun!
Etxxu 20 Jun @ 6:56am
Is It working on 6.2?
Cutiegorgon 20 Jun @ 6:29am
praise be indeed! CA should hire you instead of trying to patch AI by themselves and fail continuously
barcotics 17 Jun @ 3:45pm

Hecleas  [author] 17 Jun @ 2:06pm
I come back soon
onesimo.fermin61 17 Jun @ 1:40pm
6.2 has already been released, we will have an update of this wonderful mod in this version:steamhappy:
Gaslov 8 Jun @ 9:30am
Contrary to the claim of not giving the AI an economic bonus, there appears to be a 40% unit upkeep discount given to the AI on normal difficulty, allowing the AI to field substantially larger armies than they should be able to while using this mod.

Still work?
huey30 20 May @ 12:57pm
This mod seems to be causing my game to freeze between turns 40-50 on my turn. Usually happens when i move my lord
Marakano 19 May @ 1:32pm
Update your mod, please. The screen gets frozen during a co-op or solo campaign.
Caek 12 May @ 1:56pm
Does this have any changes for battle AI? I was thinking about putting it into an upcoming MP game, but I wanted to know if it'd do any changes on the tactical level which is where a lot of the AI's problems are at their worst.
Ludremex 12 May @ 6:47am
is it save game compatible?
Nullified 8 May @ 3:09pm
"The AI will prioritize nearby threats rather than distant ones" turn 36 5 factions on the other side of the map declare war on me for no reason whatsoever
Coldhandz 7 May @ 8:09am
Decided to turn this on in my SFO Elspeth campaign that was becoming a bit of a drag at turn 100, mainly because of the passive AI that just sits on its ass. Wow what a difference compared to vanilla. Immediately DOW'ed by a bunch of hostile factions and the AI actually invades with big stacks. Allies are finally useful and take the fight to the enemy

Can definitely recommend this mod if you want to breathe some new life into your runs
Lamp 6 May @ 10:13pm
Better than the vanilla AI at playing the game, but breaks so many things. AI be whipping out stacks on stacks before turn 10, and random factions will declare war on your from across the map and then follow through with it. Could use some balancing.
Gamerwork 6 May @ 5:01am
Hello everyone, this mod need update or ignore it and play?
Augustus II 2 May @ 5:38pm
I think Deepwar is better overall but subjectively. For example in Deepwar the AI is active, aggressive and even smart in spots, but the total number of factions goes down super fast to the point that there are less than 150 factions within 30 turns.

This mod on the other hand has aggression but factions do a lot of wild shit, like walk halfway across the map for no apparent reason. That said they are both huge improvements over vanilla and this is one of the best AI mods in any strategy game, don't get me wrong.
delfiorina 1 May @ 1:59am
What i like about this AI mod is that if you take out the Empire Karl Franz and the Witch Of Nuln
that create total chaos in my opinion lol, before Karl Franz and the Empire faction Of Nuln always ruled togather over the other factions and always did win but now the other factions runs crazy.

But i guess it also depends if you have other mods installd to the game but this AI mod is a must
for me when i play this game so thanks Hecleas.

Hello everyone, a question for those using this mod, compared to the other AI mods, which one is better according to the current state of the game?
Cutiegorgon 27 Apr @ 5:17am
@Owly

I tried it with SFO both above and below in load order and I feel like the AI is very unevenly improved. Some factions (mainly ones that spread corruption which helps with control) like N'kari have 50+ settlements while others peace out with their starting enemies (mainly those that have a lot of enemies around, say Malakai). Overall I wouldn't recommend the experience due to how uneven it is. If you still think it's better this way then I recommend setting control +10 for everyone so that AI doesn't get rebellions.
Owly 26 Apr @ 8:00am
Hello! Seems like an amazing mod, but can it run with sfo, and is it save compatible? :)
Sapoboi 25 Apr @ 1:44pm
Is compatible with saved games?
TurnUpDaHeat 24 Apr @ 5:18pm
this is perfect. i want pain and suffering. this is it
cbloom 23 Apr @ 10:28am
A fix for beastmen is linked to the personality_strategic_component_tables, specifically the entry for enemy strength modifier needs to be less than one for the aggressive_opportunistic id or the ai beastmen factions tend to lock up and become temporary or permanently unresponsive.
Spica 19 Apr @ 3:51pm
man ive been using all your ai mods for the series, we need you in shogun 2 lol
Ivrain 19 Apr @ 2:35am
4 stacks rob a province /on 10 turn.

This mod fixes just as many things, and turns just as many into a fucking circus.
Asamune 14 Apr @ 11:16am
I test all AI mod in 05/2023. It was the best.
I test all AI mod in 04/2025. It is the best.

My only grip is the AI last stand. He wants to survive so bad that he flee is last town. After loosing it next turn, he asks for peace and then suicides himself. Sometimes we miss a good last fight.

But it's just better than vanilla, war declaration makes sense, good aggressivity without being stupid, and tons of army for tons of xp and money :)
gost 13 Apr @ 3:44am
May you tell, is this mode works in multiplayer? If it doesn't work, which mods that improve AI behavior will work in multiplayer?
