The recipe does not seem to be appearing in the smelter again, even though I am on 1.01 please fix

Updated to version 1.0.1, make sure to clean out your data/installed_mods if you want to play with the newer version.

I guess I can boost this a little bit, but when it comes to another metal that is much stronger, I leave it to someone else. They can use this mod's structure if they wish. Or maybe I'll make something in the future, but for now I got some other cool stuff I want to try my hands at.

This game is in need of stronger metals. Maybe make 2 versions, 1 OP and one just a super valuable adamantite?

Indeed. I was thinking of making it slightly better, just like how steel works compared to iron. But I've not decided yet. Let me know what you guys think.

So are the stats literally the best of platinums stats with the best of adamantiums?

You have to remove the mod from data/installed_mods since apparently when mods are installed, they don't update automatically when a mod is updated, so for now the workaround is to remove installed mods and let the game reinstall them.

The mod was fixed at 28 Dec, so if you've downloaded and installed the mod before this, it's broken.

dwarfium isnt appearing as a crafting option in the smelter. is there a bug or something?

For someone who say they doesn't know a lot about modding, you sure seem to know more than enough than what is considered the basics of modding. You should try it out, I'm positive you'll be able to make good stuff.

In any case, nice find, seems to fit perfectly. I'll add it to the mod and if anyone encounters any issues, feel free to post about it and I'll make sure to look into it.

That is indeed one of my concerns too, I will try to find a solution for this as soon as possible. I was thinking about adding the DEEP_SPECIAL token to dwarfium since adamantite has it which seems to be the only token unique to adamantite and might be the deciding factor in what makes it not appear on embark, but I'm then worried that it starts to spawn naturally, which wouldn't be so great.

happy to help and glad to see it in working order, I just made a new fortress with the mod and will report any quirks I might have with it. I also want to say that since it is an item you can take on embark I'm a little worried that will extend to monster hunting dwarves showing up with stuff made out of it or be easily obtained through trade with dwarves.

Yeah, the error was indeed on my end. I thought that "installed_mods" got automatically updated everytime you loaded the mod from the mod folder, but apparently it doesn't. So I was trying to run the first version which didn't work over and over again despite the changes I made.

Now that I cleaned it out and tried it worked as it should and as you described.
Thanks for your help, at least the mod is working as intended. Well almost, gotta figure out how to remove dwarfium from being selected during embark, since adamantite isn't it makes no sense that dwarfium should be, since it's an alloy using adamantite as a product.

I've done some testing but I got it to work on every try that I did with a bunch of different world gen settings. this testing was with a fresh install of the mod and only it loaded, I saw dwarfium in the prepare carefully screen and made a smelter to see if the reaction was there and it was.

Thanks, I updated the mod with your findings. Unfortunately this seems to have not been enough to get smelters to behave properly either.

Did you ever get smelters to show the option to "Make dwarfium bars"?

so I did some poking around and tried various things to see why the reactions for this mod didn't work and as I'm not really a modder it was more just comparing what other modders were doing to get their metal reactions to work. i'm pretty sure you're just missing an entity text file, I copied one from another mod and changed it to fit this mods reactions.

entity_patch_dwarfium

[OBJECT:ENTITY]

[SELECT_ENTITY:MOUNTAIN]
[PERMITTED_REACTION:DWARFIUM_MAKING]

is what I put and was getting dwarfium stuff on item selection in the prepare carefully screen, where I wouldn't before.

It currently doesn't work to create the bars needed to smith the metal, but as soon as the issue with reactions is fixed, I'll update it.
