Hello, it seems like spiked chests keep spawning normally. I don't have haunted chests unlocked so I set it to turn all chests normal yet the spiked ones keep spawning.

Forgot I could just check the code to see which items are removed.
I would argue that Lost Contact should be added to the blacklist, because it's a pure defensive item unlike Bird's Eye and Ghost Pepper.

...The game is hard-coded to not allow that to happen. It literally can't. They will instead spawn next to you, or they won't spawn at all, and wait for you to move (downpour zombies).

@luciolencer well personally i dont think a character that requires you to get 1 or 2 specific random items out of 800 to have a chance at winning is very well designed so I changed it to be more fair without them being available at all. It might make it a lot more easier to play with them still appearing and the other buffs on top, but whatever floats your boat.

honestly removing the defensive items doesnt make tlost more interesting, more like more frustrating. theres no way to beat mother without something broken like 4.5 volt and book of shadows, im glad its an adjustable option, so everything else makes tlost more bearable and fun

repentance+ as a whole is just kind of broken at the minute, i recommend uninstalling it so that it doesn't break your mods

I know that anyone can configure the mod the way he likes, but, you know, I suggested to make it by default for ... aesthetics purposes, I guess?
F.e instead of tinted rocks dropping holy mantle, you may give another option to get mattle stack from sleeping on the bed. Cool idea imho.

The idea of tinted rocks dropping holy card just seems... too much out of a game concept. I believe it should be turned off by default.
Same for the rainbow poop. It's like giving a blue heart for ??? by destroying rainbow poop. Feels too strange.

Thank you man, I love this. Finally a mod that let's you turn off stuff you don't like and keep the rest so the charater is still a challenge

Thanks a bunch for the mod man. I just unlocked T Lost a week ago and I've lost my temper so many times because some dumb fiend folio ennemy would knock me into a spiked rock.
Now this character's potential has been unlocked and I think I'll finally enjoy playing that high risk/reward gameplay.

Okay nevermind, it crashes on continue after a fresh reboot, which would've been good to know instead of just saying on continue. I'm not sure what causes that but I can probably fix it later today

That being said though the update won't fix your crash, since that line was untouched.

You have a mod enabled that is breaking the itempool class somehow, you'd need to disable mods in your list until it stops crashing, and figure out which mod is the source.

Okay it seems you're on version 1.0, I looked back and in that version, line 774 is itemPool:RemoveCollectible(), which still shouldn't crash unless you have another mod that breaks the itempool class.

In any case, it's also clear you have an outdated version of the mod.

I'm sorry but that error quite literally makes no sense. Line 774 in our main.lua is just a random table index.

Unsure, but the mod crashes when continuing on a run.

This is what my log.txt spewed out. Also made a dmp file with the crash too:

@UTSC what spiritcrab said. Also thank you all for the compliments! A lot of thought was put into the tweaks and I'm glad you could understand the reasoning behind them all. Hope this makes the character more fair and fun to play for everyone

While I dislike removal of some items I like that you can enable them back in! This is a really well-thought out mod! If I were to suggest anything maybe also add option in the settings that makes it so whenever you pick up new items there's a 10% chance you'll get a Holy Mantle that doesn't stack.

@Kattack fair enough ig, also i was playing as t. forgotten and i got a holy card from a tinted rock, to clarify i did hit the white fires in downpour so i could get a bonus boss item

@the real mario The thing with making it two eternal hearts is that it would really complicate things. Would it be only if you get them both in a floor? Would it just do nothing if you got one and went to the next floor? How would you keep track of how many you've gooten? Would there be a UI element that conflicts with other custom health mods? It would just be kinda messy, but since one eternal heart taken to the next floor gives the reward anyway, you can just pretend it gives you the reward instantly instead I suppose.

Only if you do it within the timeframe. You can already do that normally most of the time in vanilla anyway, though if you rack the i-frames above the recommended settings, it gives you more leeway .

one suggestion, could you make it an option to make it so you need to get 2 eternal hearts to get a mantle? itd feel more source accurate id feel

@Foks I was actually gonna add that originally, but someone else already made it before i could, so since there's not really much to change about it, I decided to just leave it out. If you do want it, then check out the mod Tainted Lost Can Rest.

i don't plan on using the mod, but I really like the changes you made here! lots of mods that adjust T. Lost end up missing the point of what the character was trying to do, but it's clear you were careful to not do that. very good quality, upvoted and favorited :resmile:.

If I may suggest, if possible, sleeping in beds should also give the Lost back his holy mantle.

@cadetpirx it basically does the same thing so you don't really need both, but if you prefer that mod's replacements you can just disable this one's in the config menu and it should work
