Hand Drill: make it remove all artifact at the start of combat alongside base effect, because watcher and defect lack the card density in their draft pool to strip artifact from enemies

There are 2 more relics that I think would've been better if it was different.
This are:
Whetstone and Warpaint.
Instead of these 2 relic upgrading a random card, it would've be better if I could choose which card I want to upgrade, it's annoying when I pick them up and they upgrade the strike or defend cards

you could probably make hand drill be playing 3 attacks give vulnerable in line with all the other silly 3 attack relics

Would you consider revisiting this mod to tweak Lament? I really dislike that it's a relic that only has use in the start of act 1. I was hoping to see it tweaked so that it gave you three 1-hp fights in act 1, two 1-hp fights in act 2, and one 1-hp fight in act 3.

I kind if wish Hand Drill would automatically apply 1 vulnerable to a monster when ever it gains block. Don't know if that would make it too op, though.

as someone who has played a decent amount of poison builds, the specimen change(if it doesnt keep original effect) is an INSANE NERF, the specimen is so nice, the only time your change would make it better is in a non poison build as the only time this is a buff, is if you've only used like 2 actual poison cards yet have somehow killed an enemy, and even then, when you kill the second enemy it is once again worse then og, nerfing a poison relic to only be good in a non-poison build is dumb. I understand that i can disable it im just dumbfounded that you would change specimen? i dont understand how anyone running a poison build would ever think it needs a buff, or change, and if your not running a poison build it shouldn't be good for you as it is a poison relic

Tiny House buff suggestion:
- Card upgrade is no longer random
- Also adds either card transformation or card removal

It's not a bad relic, but there's almost always a better choice present. A better deck cleaning might make it look more appealing.

Something that could be done to improve the relic is make the base relic grant 1 strength, that way it has some value when not playing in high ascension.

Regarding your concerns about the drill.I find the base drill to be better, it is more helpful against enemies in high ascension. In fact I feel that s what it was designed for.

Maybe hand drill also applies weak? In general I like these a lot, but I think strike dummy is a tad op, maybe just 1 or 2 damage for the common attacks? idk

just one suggestion.
for the strange spoon, can you just make the players choice if a card exhausts or discards?
because right now status cards like slime would get discarded instead of the intended exhaust, right?
and just two cards getting discarded instead of potentially infinite seems like a poor trade. my fights usually last further than just two such cards, even if i don't build around having exhausting cards.

otherwise i am very happy with most effect changes.

Here's an idea to buff hand drill, every 4 turns give all enemies 1 block (in addition to it's current effect). This would allow you to proc it's effect on every enemy in the game without making it op.

I love how you changed Maw Bank and Strange Spoon. I think it's very interesting. I also love how you also include the option for users to turn off the changes they don't like.

Hello @tigerx, thanks for reporting! I can't reproduce the crash on my end, did you have other mods enabled? If you can reproduce the crash, would you mind posting the crashlog, at the very end of the file located in the Slay the Spire local files, in sendToDevs/mts_process_launch.txt ? (Preferably in the bug report thread discussion)

This mod crashes the game when you try to fight the 999 hp monster. I was able to confirm this by disabling the mod in ModTheSpire, and fighting it.

Honestly, I think all of these are very good changes. But I understand why you are displeased with Hand Drill. I think perhaps a better solution would be to either lower the effect to 25% more damage to enemies with block, or increasing the vulnerable application of the original relic to 2 or 3, to allow the effect to stack for later turns instead of having to frontload several damage cards into a single turn (not always possible with how stingy the game is with usable energy relics.) I think that is the main weakness of the otherwise quite good relic.

My suggestion for Hand Drill would be: "At the start of each turn apply 1 Vulnerable to each enemy which has block. When you break an enemies block apply 1 Vulnerable to them." This way it helps you break the block, while also still rewarding you for doing so by stacking the vulnerable up for future turns.

Hand Drill could apply vulnerable to the target if they have any block, this would activate before dealing damage so you still get the damage boost and it would still combos with things like sadistic nature and paper frog. Love the mod!
