Sorry everyone work and home has been extra stressful lately, I haven't even really had time to play games let alone mod one. Good news though I am back to working on it, it's pretty close to being structurally complete I just need to finish the buildings, lay everything out on the map and do some testing.

The main house is is finished, the basement/bunker is 90% done, A barn is done, I need to build a machine shed for vehicle storage and some smaller out buildings but because they are mostly empty by nature it shouldn't take more than a day to finish all of those. reworking the old map file might be more difficult than I thought but still shouldn't take long.

again, sorry for keeping you all waiting and thank you for being so patient. I'll share some in progress screenshots here today.

Is there any way to replace the large garage doors if they get destroyed? I'm using the Build Menu mod and don't see anything under the Dirkie's tileset

in your library it'll have unstable in the name. if you are on b42 this version won't work, im currently working on the B42 version though

Hopefully you guys won't have to wait much longer. I had to pause work on it while I moved to a new house but I'm back working on it in between work and my 2 two old that is lol I'm aiming for mid next month for release. it will be a separate mod page but I'll keep posting sneak peaks and I'll post the new link here and in the description when it's completed and on the workshop.

Without your bunker,i don't know how to play this game.Your bunker are really perfect player base.I hope in B42 it can be more close to the main road,or just fewer turns.More than once I've had to get out of the car and eliminate the zombies that get in my way as I pass through that narrow path, which is really annoying.:spiffo:

for b42 would you consider adding separate areas for new skills such as black smithing area(most likely underground) with anvil and forging stuff,welding area close by, sewing, animals and butchering area (so that we don't freak out other animals by butchering one right in front of them...maybe the shack renovation) with a butchering stand....right now the back(north) of the bunker doesn't have any predetermined use ..you get the idea

@miller yes .....but for it to work in multiplayer, if you play on others server you have to check if they have it or not...if you self host you have to put the mod in the server config

@dragonher0 yes ..it adds functinality to vanilla tiles... the one i use the most is the big gas tank looking thing as a generator, and it works indoors...you could add bar taps at the bar too so that players can just dispense from a keg using that mod ...there is popcorn machines, hotdog machines, soda fountains bar taps, kegs, food display counters,buffet islands, rounded glass display counters,vending machine,industrial deep fryers,coffee x-press machine and espresso machine for the kitchen/dining area too...you could give the kitchen a major overhaul

@Dragonsher0 I can confirm from having used it. Yes it add functionality to vanilla tiles like the hotdog machines, or drink machines in gas stations, etc. A bunch of the otherwise useless props and tiles have uses with Functional Appliances.

@primedew Having not used functional appliances myself, does it just add functionality to vanilla tiles? If so, I can absolutely add that. If it's a modded object you have to craft and place, I can't really start the bunker with one, but I can make a space for it like I did with the solar power battery bank in the original mod (if you could give me the tile foot print of it).

As far as layout, I'm not really sure if it'll need to be more than one floor. One generator was enough to power the whole base including garage (except "plug in" things like tvs and fridges on the outer edges of the garage) which was huge lol. I think the bunker living space and rec areas will be on floor -1 and possibly the storage on -2 maybe down to -3 but i won't really know until i get my hands on the tools and play around with it. I'm completely open to suggestions though, and would love to add more mod support on my end to make it smoother for other players (and maybe learn of cool new mods lol).

@dragonsher0 thanks for your honest reply and you have nothing to be sorry for....now that basements are a thing redesigning the whole thing as proper bunker should be the best thing in my opinion....how many basement floors do you plan on expanding underground? the classic uncle reds bunker footprint will be now enough to make an enormous bunker...i agree with you on the ground floor being garage maybe with the workshop, unless ramp versions come out which doesn't block everything above and bellow.....reorganizing the current facilities in 3-5 floors will give plenty of room for everything...i do have a request though....could you place the machines room beside the gym smack dab in the middle of the base with a silo generator from "Functional appliances mod"? that will make it the ultimate doomsday bunker

@primedew At this point, having played B42 a bit I think I'll wait for it to at least be a little closer to release, I do 100% intend on updating this mod. right now it is just a matter of when I have the time. but thank you for enjoying my mod :) I took a lot of inspiration from last minute prepper and the mod author helped me with advice and tips.

I do want to know though, currently I'm planning on the B42 branch being a separate mod from this one and it will be a total re-imagining, Think moderately sized farmhouse with a large barn/ garage and decently sized bunker, probably about half as big as this version considering all parking will be above ground now. would you guys be interested in that rather than just simply updating this version of the map? If there is enough interest and time I would love to do both.

@legobricked I plan to if I have time between work and wrangling a 2 year old lol. also waiting for the new map tools so it might be a bit, but it'll be completely reworked with the new basement mechanic. If i can I'll update the old version to B42 and keep it as a legacy option.

I dont know why but this and other dirkie tile dependent mods doesnt work in only multiplayer. You can spawn there, choose the spawnpoint but bunker isnt there.

I put the generator in and plugged it in. I have electricity, but no heat. I'm freezing. What is problem?

@Eugine Dingleberry I play with respawn off, but I would assume it'll follow the same rules as the rest of the map. I didn't really have any influence over it when making the map at least, as long as you return before the respawn unseen hours tick over it should be good.

I honestly like your better as far as feeling like it belongs in the game. And would switch over immediately except I spent 7 hours stocking ohm's yesterday. Coordinates seem to be just slightly off which should allow them to work fine.

Appreciate the info. Interestingly enough, even if it was copied off yours, the guy lost all the files so it's gonna disappear into the sands off time once b42 releases and all the mod authors come back to life magically
