we do an insignificant amount of tomfoolery
No father figure.
Ikr? the movie Robots being a trans allegory makes no sense, their machines, and we aren't; the rules of how they work are totally different.
Not just that, but its more about corporate greed and corruption than anything to do with identity, the fact Rodney is cut off from his dreams due to big weld being closed, which is due to ratchets shenanigans, pretty much showcases how people get screwed over by big corporations.
and ive also not heard the movie director or writer ever say that either so im gonna assume that its false
[1/2]
No its not.
The matrix was never about transgenderism, its literally about humans being put in pods, in a simulation, and used to generate power for a race of machines.
Its also established in a animated series, a prequel to the matrix that said machines enslaved and destroyed humanity as revenge for the constant mistreatment humanity gave them.
Also
Transgenderism was hardly a thing in the 1990s, and the only reason Lilly is saying anything, is to appeal to the "modern audience".
And.
The entire concept of The Matrix was first established by William Gibson in Neuromancer and later the follow on books Count Zero, Mona Lisa Override, and Johnny Mnemonic.
Of course, since the Wachowskis receive full credit for it, and are transgender, people are now making that assumption, which their using to their advantage, and it’s being unfortunately passed off as fact. But the honest answer is no, William Gibson, The Godfather and legitimate creator of all of the Matrix Trilogy’s concepts, didn’t give a flying rat’s ass about 2020’s identity politics.
TLDR:
Its not.
Take your identity politics somewhere else.
