Just a casual Arma player. I've been using this nick for a long time, long before Netflix-series or Arma.
When I was born there was still war going on in Vietnam, I got the idea from there
Thank you for your enthusiasm and feedback, and for giving my scenarios a shot! I recommend chapters 2 and 3, as they are the most complete, and then maybe chapter 1, as that is the most popular ( for some reason, although I quite dont understand why).
people like demo, medic, AT can carry less frag/smoke grenades to account for the extra weight they have to bear from rockets, med kits, explosives. make an ammo bearer loadout that specifically focuses on carrying extra ammo for the common guns like M14, M40, M60, HE rounds for launchers, Shotgun etc, and make sure to put said ammo in the backpack so team members can just go in his bag to take what they need, however don't waste room in his pack carrying M16 ammo, that's part of your Riflemans job, your rifleman should have his own personal 7 mags (stored in his clothes or vest) as well as at least 10-15 spare M16 mags in the backpack.
specialty soldiers like the medic for example should have a bit more smokes and maybe even a tiny bit less ammo as their role is to keep the team alive, not really to be on the front lines and make sure to ACTUALLY give them a medic kit in the backpack lol and at least 10 field dressings. same thing with demo, AT etc, make their loadout more geared towards their role, for example demo should have things like mine detector, multiple different explosives and grenades such as termite grenades etc,
the default loadouts always give the 20 round magazines and its so annoying, most of the weapons the enemy are using are anywhere between 30-75 round mag weapons and it just really sort of turns the tables against you. I'd recommend making and saving a vietnam loadout for multiple different classes IE a Rifleman, demo expert, engineer, machine gunner, marksman etc, and actually taking time to customize each individual one and setting them up properly, here's a little cheat sheet you can follow, the average soldier that's using a rifle should have at least 210 rounds of ammunition (so 7 30 round mags), at least 4 frag grenades,at least 2-4 white smokes, at least 1 green and 1 red or yellow as well as at least 2 field dressings. make sure to give them sidearms as well.
only got to play the very beginning of this mission but here are some tips I can give. I noticed that all of your soldiers are "scouts" yet the soldiers are clearly supposed to have different roles, EG team lead has a grenade launcher weapon, one guy is a machine gunner, one guy is supposed to be the medic, etc. so when you're in the editor placing your soldiers try to actually use the proper class for the soldiers role, so the team leader on this one should have been an actual grenadier class soldier, not a scout class with a grenade launcher weapon, the demolitions guy should actually be a demo class soldier, not a scout class etc, etc. this makes things so much easier and much more immersive. another thing, make sure to actually customize the soldiers loadouts, don't just leave them with the default spawn loadout and call it a day
Only Slick didn't come to pick us, and I couldn't find him anywhere on the map (Zeus view), so I put one Slick near LZ, then I went to base... THE END.
But guardian Cobra came to help us near LZ.
