MOUNTAIN are the vanilla dwarf race; this mod only applies to them. The only things left that I can think of that would make it not appear are: using a mod to play another race, or the mod wasn't enabled when the world was generated.

Not sure what you mean by reactions to the MOUNTAIN entity, it is in the bottom though :O

@Lasse Oop, sorry for the late reply, didn't get a notification > <

As far as I can tell the mod is working fine; it does only add the reactions to the MOUNTAIN entity (ie. dwarves), however. It's possible that another mod might be overwriting its changes, so try loading SObP near the bottom of your mod order.

cant see this when smelting, do i have to setup something? or is this mod not for latest DF
Qev  [author] 7 Nov, 2024 @ 9:56am
Usually that happens if something added further down the load order replaces the MOUNTAIN entity; try moving SObP to the bottom of your load order.
greyhome 3 Nov, 2024 @ 5:57pm
any idea why this isnt showing up after enabling? it was working fine in my last world but gone in this new one...
Qev  [author] 17 Sep, 2024 @ 10:34am
Per the Dark Ages mod: "Any mods to Dwarves or Vanilla Entities will conflict with DA:5." It's likely their mod replaces the MOUNTAIN entity entirely. You can try moving SObP to the end of your load order but it depends on how they made their mod work.
JoaquinALS 15 Sep, 2024 @ 1:42pm
why isn't compatible with dark ages?
GrumGully 16 Jun, 2024 @ 10:13pm
The metal smith workshop wont accept any non vanilla (Iron, steel) anvil. So if you spwan in with a random one make sure you change it before you embark.
Qev  [author] 10 Jan, 2024 @ 11:41am
It only adds the new reactions to the default dwarf civilization (MOUNTAIN), so you'll need to patch it for other civs.
Aether 8 Jan, 2024 @ 8:29pm
Does this mod add the reactions in a way that everyone gets it, or do I need to manually patch it in if I play with a civilisation other than dwarves?
Qev  [author] 27 Aug, 2023 @ 1:29pm
The only issue with adding a coke reaction is that (unlike ores) lignite and bituminous coal produce different amounts of coke when processed, which I can't really do in a single reaction. :/
bwc153 9 Aug, 2023 @ 7:21pm
Can you add a job for making Coke from lignite/Bitumite Coal?
Qev  [author] 28 Jan, 2023 @ 11:52pm
When in doubt, put this one last. Some mods replace the dwarf entity entirely in order to make their changes, which will override SOBP unless SOBP comes after it.
Celeste Goodfilly (She/Her) 27 Jan, 2023 @ 3:57pm
this doesn't seem to be working in my game. Is there a particular order i should put it in when generating the world?
Qev  [author] 18 Jan, 2023 @ 10:27pm
The issue is that there's three silver ores but only one gives silver, and there's no way to make one reaction that can take that into account. That said the original jobs to smelt tetrahedrite are still there to use in that case.
LEOTARD 18 Jan, 2023 @ 7:57pm
any way to fix the copper smelting behaviour? so it gives the silver.
Qev  [author] 16 Jan, 2023 @ 5:59pm
It needs to come after any mod that might delete-and-replace the MOUNTAIN entity (ie. dwarves). When in doubt, load it last. :)
Purple Guy 16 Jan, 2023 @ 8:37am
No idea why, but I think it isn't loading with my mod list. Is there an order you recommend?
Qev  [author] 14 Jan, 2023 @ 12:35pm
Thanks! I'm glad it's making everyone's gameplay a little better. :)
Leftbones 14 Jan, 2023 @ 10:45am
Just wanted to drop back in and say how amazing this mod is. It's so much more convenient to just use a "smelt iron ore" task rather than having to do hematite, limonite, and magnetite individually. This mod is a game changer and I won't be playing without it ever again.
Loyalist George W. Burns 10 Jan, 2023 @ 4:24pm
yea, didnt read as much as i should of but i love this its very handy!
Qev  [author] 10 Jan, 2023 @ 1:47pm
It's an interesting idea, I'm not quite sure how to go about it though. XD
Sion 10 Jan, 2023 @ 7:28am
bruh the dude below me
lmao
Loyalist George W. Burns 9 Jan, 2023 @ 1:44pm
i admit made this post before i used to mod, i thought it was a single option and would use any ore to smelt the correct ore, so my b
Qev  [author] 8 Jan, 2023 @ 4:35pm
I'm not entirely sure what you mean?
Loyalist George W. Burns 8 Jan, 2023 @ 6:51am
oh thank god was so annoying. any chance we could get a crafting version of this?
Qev  [author] 1 Jan, 2023 @ 12:35pm
Try unsubscribing, then deleting the folders for this mod from both the \mods and the \data\installed mods folders (there might be two in each of those folders), then resubscribe and generate a new world. DF gets really clingy about old mod versions. XD
Nord 1 Jan, 2023 @ 11:56am
@The Master, which version is appearing in your mod list? I suspect you're locked into an older version that may not be behaving any longer...
The Master 1 Jan, 2023 @ 8:09am
It does not. Interestingly, a totally different mod for making stuff like bulk bedroom sets *also* doesn't do anything.
Qev  [author] 31 Dec, 2022 @ 12:36pm
The reactions should at least show up, even if another mod has made conflicting changes... Does "Smelt iron ore" appear as an option in Work Orders?
The Master 31 Dec, 2022 @ 12:32pm
I've generated tons of different worlds and I've never seen it, It's very strange.
Qev  [author] 31 Dec, 2022 @ 12:14pm
Make sure you're generating a new world after installing the mod; you can't add new mods to existing games in DF.
The Master 31 Dec, 2022 @ 6:42am
I have tried again and again to see any proof of this mod actually working and I've come up empty. Regardless of load order, regardless of not using any mods that touch anything to do with what this does, I have never seen the extra menu in the workshop OR work orders menu this is supposed to add, nor any extra orders it's supposed to add anywhere.
Qev  [author] 30 Dec, 2022 @ 12:58pm
@BrynnAndButter All of the vanilla smelting orders are untouched! This just adds a new category with additional orders.
BrynnAndButter 30 Dec, 2022 @ 12:35pm
Does this still allow you to use the vanilla smelting orders as well? Or does it replace them completely?
Qev  [author] 30 Dec, 2022 @ 12:11pm
@Tantal Not currently, since they have different output amounts, which can't be accounted for in a single reaction. :(
Tantal 30 Dec, 2022 @ 9:32am
Does it affects bituminous coal & lignite?
Qev  [author] 29 Dec, 2022 @ 4:46pm
@Leftbones You can queue up the orders in the smelter or via the manager. "Smelt iron ore" for example will start a job that will grab any iron ore and smelt it.
Leftbones 29 Dec, 2022 @ 7:33am
How does this work exactly? I forgot I had it installed and didn't notice anything different. Does it only work with workshop-specific orders, or manager orders too?
madpoet 28 Dec, 2022 @ 5:23pm
I didn't realize I needed this so badly until I had it
Qev  [author] 28 Dec, 2022 @ 12:39pm
Small update, galena wasn't outputting the correct amount of silver, fixed!
Alexander 28 Dec, 2022 @ 2:12am
Great QoL Idea!
Qev  [author] 26 Dec, 2022 @ 10:27pm
@Brick That's just a bit of editing with GIMP. :)

A firelight graphics mod would be kinda keen though...
Brick 26 Dec, 2022 @ 10:05pm
Did you edit the shadows onto the image or is it some sort of mod? Looks cool
OptimusPrimordial 26 Dec, 2022 @ 8:46pm
Thank you! Making individual work orders for every stone was painful.
DOGGY 26 Dec, 2022 @ 7:46pm
@Qev thx. It's nice to see more and more product simplification modes coming out! I haven't used this mode yet, but I'll use it for the next fort
Qev  [author] 26 Dec, 2022 @ 7:37pm
@DOGGY If you select eg. "Smelt iron ore", then the smelter will take any iron ore boulder for the task, instead of requiring you to choose a specific iron ore.
DOGGY 26 Dec, 2022 @ 7:32pm
More description of this mode is required. Does it mean that if casting is set with a specific metal, the corresponding various ore will be smelt?
