Mlie, the modder that resurrects/forks/continues mods, is currently doing a "continued" of this mod, so that we may have it for 1.6, if SmArtKar is unable to. progress was updated on it about a month ago.

Mlie works on A LOT of mods, so give 'em just a bit more time, and i'm sure this mod will get a 1.6 "unofficial" update.

The buildings are all still there in 1.6 but it doesn't add skill points like it used to, so it doesn't work on 1.6 and creates generic vat babies.

@Bungee Gum It worked fine on 1.5, I used it only many play throughs and didn't have issues. Max growth every time (unless a solar flare happened during the growth moment).

im not sure if im just midreading something, but i have 8 growth vats all connected to one of each type of machine together, but im not getting all the trait tokens i should be (currently 6 YO rn)

Hey. People leaving whole pages worth of comments just saying "this mod doesn't work." Did you know that directly above the comment section is a Discussion page specifically for bug reports, and that a bug report typically describes HOW a mod is failing? Maybe post more detailed descriptions of your issues there instead of a perfunctory "not working" here, and the mod author will actually be able to fix the mod that way.

Great mod! If I may humbly suggest an improvement: it would be nice if children grown connected to the same VR simulation had an opinion bonus of each other similar to close family members something like Vatbrother/Vatsister maybe?

@Sumatris Thats the issue, is that i dont have any other growth vat related mod afaik, but ill keep an eye out for stuff. Also didnt know that you could get to 12 vats, thats sick!

@Gloose: Sounds like the same issue I reported a bit further down. I guess it's a mod incompatibility (I got some other growth vat-modifying stuff running in the background), but so far no fix has been published.

Also, not to piss on your parade, but the optimal setup involves 12 vats :-). You can put a third one on each side of the VRS, in front of the neurostim, for maximum clone trooperage.

I have 8 kids in an optimal setup (vrsim in middle, 2 vats on each side, 2 cognition machines, and 1 neurostim between each vat on each side), and yet it doesnt show growth and kids come out with no growth whatsoever, is there a fix for this?

Vat learning should scale with growth speed, I am playing a colony of exclusively extremely-fast-growing clones and all the machines do basically nothing.

My kids in the vats reach 100% growth vat learning and then get stuck there, effectively blocking their skill advancement. Anyone else having this problem?

Shieeet. I guess it's either don't scales with kid age multiplier or growth vats preceipt, but my sole growing kid with all 3 stimulating buildings only got 2 trait selection and 0 passions by staying in the vat from 3 to 10 years

would it be possible to tweak the mod to work with the growth vats required precept? it causes them to grow faster which in my game seems to only give them 3 traits to choose from and two passions from 3 choices

I will say that I think there should be a configurable hard cap on how many traits and passions they'll get. I've gotten 5 passions and 6 trait choices which is a little nuts honestly

@whenwrask: Damn, I just came here to say this exact thing. Or maybe not the exact same thing, but close enough: it would be cool if they built relations with each other like pawns normally do when they interact with each other. I mean, they (probably) spend their entire childhood together with every one else in that specific virtual environment. It's only logical they exit the vat with all the friendships and rivalries this would entail.

I think I encountered an error. I used 1 of each machine on 1 occupied vat at once. The baby had 20 in both Melee and Shooting skills at age 3, but then her Social skills only improved by 2 levels until she was 7 years old. At which point I only got 1 trait to choose from and no passions on her growth moment. I don't know if this was a bug or I just did something incorrectly. Please advise?

Love the concept of this mod, tried it out this past week and yeah, I'm having the babies get 20s in three skills at a time, all at once. Hope it gets worked out!

@Steve30 I've definitely also had it in vanilla. I think there's something weird that happens during the tick when a baby is added to the growth vat, where the time spent in the vat is calculated incorrectly resulting in a enormous amount of learning being applied in one frame.

I later cloned a whole lot of kids and the bug didn't occur again, so it's possible that you did end up fixing it SmartKar! Excellent job if so!

This doesn't seem to do anything. The pawns step out without any skills higher than 1-5 or more than one passion lvl 1.
