A very good puzzle with a great flow to it. I especially love the use of the reverse funnel here and the cube respawns I've added this one to my favourites!

Very, very clever!!

One of the chess greats, Emmanuel Lasker, one said "when you see a good move, wait and don't do it -- you might find a better one", and this absolutely describes the puzzle here. When you see a move that lest you progress, consider if a slightly different move lets you progress better. ;)

I don't know why I just put "Nice one :)" 4y4m ago, because this is an excellent puzzle, not hard, but it does makes you think

Very challenging, but very fun too! I almost gave up, but I finally saw it! Here's my blind playthrough: https://youtu.be/AWE2JBer2WY

Wow, I thought I tasted some of Mevious' Cache in this one, and it turns out it derives from it through a long chain - a cool surprise. Very clean, clever assisted-shuffler.

Great puzzle! My "fast" run here https://youtu.be/mbOeP257_yg

great map, took me a few attempts to full understand how it works. much better then Symmetrical Graeco
Mikeastro 11 Aug, 2018 @ 11:50am
Very well made. You know what? I'll just fav it. Just for funsies.
Nobody No-One 9 Jun, 2018 @ 2:49pm
Nice map. Didn't take nearly as long as I had expected.
jandlml 4 Jun, 2018 @ 9:50pm
wow played it again and it still took some time to think of the solution. excellent map!
Joric 2 Jun, 2018 @ 11:42pm
That was really weird and convoluted but I solved it. No aha moments, just frustration. Also RedSilencer's remake and both are PTI. The puzzle is above average though.

Nice one :)

i thought this was familiar. good remake.

I had solved RedSilencer's version awhile back but it was fun to play through again, with the
different look. And I still had to stop and think in a couple of places :)
Ganymede 7 Dec, 2014 @ 10:18pm
Oh, okay. Just read the description. That explains why it doesn't have the same look and feel as your other maps.

Still fun to play, though.
ken.roberts 4 Oct, 2014 @ 7:23am
Thanks Guys - I played and solved Cache this morning. Although I see the similarities - Graeco is much more problematic. The fizzler between the dropper room and the Exit has no "Turn Off" button anywhere. But the funnel can pass through that fizzler. So apparently I need to work the Cube from the origin and go clockwise from room to room to bypass the immovable fizzler. I am sure that "if" I solve this . . . like Mevious maps, there will be an "ahaaaa" moment where I will feel both elated and very dumb at the same time. It's a weird feeling.
RedSilencer 28 Sep, 2014 @ 7:31pm
@ken.roberts I played Graeco first, which I found was a direct remake of Mevious' Cache by pure coincidence in the same day. Both of them had a problem that I noticed and it all had to do with a single line of portalable surfaces that made it possible to get the cube into the "fizzler room" 2 different ways. I didn't like that and decided to fix it and just ran with the ideas that came. If you look at Cache's description, it mentions the "Mevious 1" map by Gig, apparently. I couldn't find it, though! So yes, Mevious 1 is the theoretical Great Grandfather of this final, purely heterosexual, map, although one is allowed one's doubts.
toncica  [author] 28 Sep, 2014 @ 4:14am
It is not as complex as you might think. You just have to use both the funnel and the light bridge. When you find that the cube is not where you need it be, remember that the dropper has a button and you can spawn a new cube at that place.

Redsilencer suggested this puzzle is a descendant from a Mevious map. Apparently that would be Cache
ken.roberts 27 Sep, 2014 @ 1:54pm
I thought this was very simple and straightforward. But I was SADLY mistaken. Is there any type of clue you could give ? I am able to get the cube ANYWHERE in the map EXCEPT into the Exit area. Hence my need for a clue. Also - I cannot find the afore-mentioned "Mevious 1" map. Could you throw me a bone on that as well ? Apparently this map is somethink like a 4th genration with "Mevious 1" being the Great Grandfather of them all.
toncica  [author] 1 Aug, 2014 @ 3:20pm
Okay, don't be afraid to tell me when there is something specific in a puzzle that makes trouble. It should never be hard for the wrong reasons. My subconscious keeps listening to the advice from experienced players and usually wins in the end after a day or so of internal struggle wether to do something about it or not.
Jade BGE 1 Aug, 2014 @ 3:03pm
So I don't look like a total Dumb dumb; in looking back through you house of horrors I have played 6 and solved 2. Still it's sad.
And I have not played one for a long while until today so perhaps I may be betting better at figuring the more difficult puzzles out, so I really should try a few more and see how I do.
toncica  [author] 1 Aug, 2014 @ 2:51pm
You have to be kidding. Does that mean this is the first time you solve a map in my little workshop of horrors? I'll have to rethink some things...
Jade BGE 1 Aug, 2014 @ 2:39pm
When I solve a puzzle I comment - Sad isn't it? All your maps are a challenge often beyond me. I have to pat myself on the back when I can.
toncica  [author] 1 Aug, 2014 @ 12:46pm
Again, this is Redsilencer's puzzle, all credit goes to him.

And Jade..., first time you left a comment. I'm very surprised.
Jade BGE 1 Aug, 2014 @ 12:36pm
Yes! I did it. Very thoughtful map. Thank you.
RedSilencer 27 Jul, 2014 @ 5:33am
@stormsend What I just realized is that these two maps toncica and I have made are actually just a subset of the map that was a remake of the map Mevious made in response to the map called Mevious 1, made by Gig. Pretty cool how it all evolves. C: Go check my map's description if you want to play those too...! Except that I couldn't find Mevious 1. If you do, please tell me here or there!

I know toncica knows I've thanked him for remaking my map in messages but I want that to be known here because this sort of cooperation is really cool, in my opinion, because I can submit testimony of examples of players being really defensive of their work... I mean, if Rodney Mullen got upset over every skater doing a kick flip, he'd be in a mental asylum.
stormsend 26 Jul, 2014 @ 2:25am
Nice remake. I think yours is a little cleaner and smoother but I played them both. My hat's off to you both. Thank you.
Polux 25 Jul, 2014 @ 2:55pm
It is a remake .. but it is a good choice :)
I like this kind of puzzle, great.
