Great map! I enjoyed it a lot. Short remark: The final fight against the two fish is basically impossible on Hard difficulty - I had to downgrade to Normal. Aside from that, it was really well balanced!

Works when launching from the console and putting it in the custom folder. Outstanding recreation! Crush Depth is one of my favorite levels as well.

Thanks to black mesa necro patch, it broke most of my old maps anyway, nothign to do with me, ill see if i can fix it

Damn, man, at this rate, or with your small team, will you make your own remake of Opposing Force, you guys know HECU Collective in the whole Blue Shift, if you make more chapters or think of the FULL remake, then screw Operation Black Mesa together with Guard Duty by Tripmine Studios wait, they will be there for every high-poly model and announce, for example: look what a ROUND mug we made, it’s just so round and you won’t see a single polygon or the PC keyboard is overly detailed and can poke ANY key button

I know this might be strange to ask, but will the blackops ever appear in one of your chapter remakes if you do anymore, and if so will the hecu marines be allied to you?

Thanks man, even though im not quite 100% happy with it i announced with the re release of my we are not alone chapter remake, that im also remaking crush depth again, i know i didnt do a bad job there but i think everyone will be happy with what i have in mind to complelty remakd this chapter again with new features and more maps etc, but with the black-mesa quality.

I used a special parameter with a logic_auto entity in the map itself, wich cant be done with hud or weapons. So you cant use it in the base game because its kind of hard coded to my maps themself. But im pretty sure ive seen mods that replace the base arms with thoses same hecu arms. They are from the multiplayer btw thats why they dont require any additional content.

-No idle sound on npcs that are from away (specially zombies).
-Disbaled collions on more smaller objects and also some medium objects (including chair, box or labs objects and more).
-A little bit more ammo/item across the map
-No explosion damage at first area
-Added sprite on lab keypad.
-Added two more zombie actor.
-Added more chem light.
-Fixed the possibilitie to be soft_locked at the first blastdoor.

Now include optional green hud and more, check the description for more info.

Ahhh a true champion you are. Personally I think people would even be happy to play a remake of the game with no new content given how incredible Black Mesa looks but hey... if you are really planning to add some custom content in the far future then I am impressed. ;D

cause i only planned to do my fav chapters that are : we are not alone, crush depth and vicarious reality. Considering how popular it got and that people are asking for more, thats why i decided to do more i was supsoe to stop after vicarious reality, next one will indeed be Welcome to Black-Mesa (fun fact we already have one map almost done lol)

i wil see if its possible myself, now i have a small team and for vicarious reality we are aiming higher, we have our own hud and weapons replacement for the next chapter i will do wich is indeed vaicrious reality. we will also have our own launcher and ui so we will be abble to add any custom content that we want that dosent change the source code.

I mean I know people can't make much without the source code. But people have been modding different creatures into mods for years. Surely someone will make a mod with those creatures and will just borrow BM textures since... if its just a mod you can't really sue them for textures unless you made it illegal to be featured in other mods and well... so far they aren't...

as far as i know 3 team announced one before and they all canceled it so.. also It dosent matter if a team do it they wont be abble to add race x alien because we cant use the source code.

Oh I did not mean it has to be you. I mean... yeah go for it :D But I thought that maybe some team someday might come and do a Black Mesa: Blue Shift on Opposing Force. That would take much longer than doing what you did since it doesn't contain any of the Op4 content.

Really enjoyed this recreation. You absolutely nailed the "Oh, that's where I am" effect that I got playing Black Mesa for the first time.

Only things I can recommend is changing some of the smaller physics props (boxes, lab equipment, helmets, etc.) into debris so the player doesn't constantly get caught up on them. I also noticed that in of3a5 that the ladder leading down into the room with the button that opens the Ichthyosaur tank gate lacks proper mounting/dismounting points.

And to answer last question, im currently working on vicarious reality chapter, the demo should release soon if everything goes as planned.
