Hey everyone! No one is more painfully aware than I at how bad we are at communicating regular updates and how slow development has been, the intention certainly wasn't to go 2 years without any updates. We are intending a release by the end of the year, we've just had to navigate a lot of different hurdles and a lot of the work we're doing right now isn't the exciting stuff, it's foundational polish and rebuilding so there just hasn't been a ton to post and celebrate yet. But we have plans and are eager to get a more comprehensive Dev Diary out soon as we make a bit more progress. Rest assured though, we are most certainly not dead, although our team over the last two years has shrunk from a team of at times 20 down to 4.

Most of the total conversion mods are taking a long time to be updated, the 4.0 changed a lot of fundamental mechanics.

It's not dead, a dev in this comment chain said they're still working on the update merely a month ago. The team isn't large but the mod is. It sucks that it takes so long but they can't miraculously generate progress and they can't abandon their real lives to work faster. I look forward to this update :D

I'm having the same issue as @f1rej1z [1], I have the correct version of Stellaris loaded however when the mod gets to about 70-80% loaded in, It crashes everytime. Anything I am doing wrong potentially?

just dl this mod as i love ME im on the correct game version but every single time i try to start a campaign it crashes at like 75% load, im wondering if it is because i dont have the DLC required but it wont tell me which DLC i need, i did see earlier in the comments someone said you dont actually need it and it will just disable the features that use said DLC so im unsure as to the problem, i do still have a few leftover custom empires from the last mods i played with but they were all disabled and forbidden from spawning, im going to try reinstalling and deleting the customs but i do have a weird feeling thats not the issue, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

problem with that is that in less than 2 game years after start, the turians declared war on me, and then the rest of the council followed suit since they're all allies.

@FenFenScreeScree This mod aims to be lore-accurate to Mass Effect, and at the game's start date, Humanity wasn't exactly making friends in the Mass Effect Universe.

There was the First Contact War, Humanity getting caught making AI, A human tried to assassinate an ambassador, and I believe a young Kaiden kills a Turian commander during a Biotic training camp.

The Negative Modifiers are there to represent the poor opinion the rest of the galaxy has against the Alliance. It really isn't until the end of the OG Mass Effect (2183) that the opinions of humans start to become more positive.

It sure would be cool if the four most powerful empires weren't hostile rivals to the Alliance IMMEDIATELY upon game launch. Why the hell are there TWENTY negative opinion modifiers from the very beginning of the game????

@Andrew - Can you confirm what Stellaris version you're using? The mod was last updated for 3.10.4, so you'll want to be on that version. Along with that any uncommon resolutions wreak some havoc on our UI, so 1920x1080, 1440p or 4k are safest.

@Daniel - not yet, we're working on an update now but still 3.10.4 for the time being.

@Devilsmile - can you clarify what you mean? Are you talking about custom empires?

Yeah no duh, I rolled back a few updates (3.10) disabled all the dlc and content not needed to run the game. To my current knowledge the mod won’t be updated ever

Game crushes even before the main menu is loaded. The launcher says 'this mod is made for another version of the game'. Any news about an update?

I'm not familiar with the work "Mass Effect", but I really like the map in this mod. If possible, could you consider extracting the map as a separate mod and adapting it to the new version?
