No problem, glad I could help
Chaste  [author] 30 Jan @ 4:30am
I already pushed the update in the T2SwiD UWE patch related to @Fartlaser's report. The main mod (Talk to shopkeepers while in disguise) would not need to have a fix regarding that issue.

Thank you once again for this!
Chaste  [author] 30 Jan @ 4:20am
Hello @Fartlaster! I checked your report and I think this is connected to the recent update in UWE. The fix is for the T2SwiD UWE patch as the problem is connected to UWE's Holy Nation Barkeep dialogue package. Putting the fix here in the base mod could cause errors, specifically with compatibility with other mods

I'll push an update to the T2SwiD UWE patch in a little while to incorporate this fix. Thank you very much for informing me about this!
Fartlaser 29 Jan @ 10:23pm
By the way, I was able to fix the mod by going into the Dialogue Package "Holy Nation Barkeep" and adding the talk to disguised_default inherit
Fartlaser 29 Jan @ 10:08pm
I'm also having issues, unable to talk to the barkeepers in blister hill, only mods I have below this one are t2swid UWE compatibility patch, and CTD fix autogenerated patch

Love this mod bro

@SkyeLine I rechecked the code of this mod (Talk to shopkeepers while in disguise/ T2SwiD) and can not find a cause that this mod triggered the (hilarious) response of the Okranites in Blister Hill.

This mod only causes (non-brave) barmen to call his/her shop guards to respond to the caught person in disguise. Unless the everyone in the town became part of the Holy Bar's squad, that shouldn't happen. This is most likely an effect of multiple mods overhauling squads in Blister Hill (T2SwiD is not one of those) or Kenshi spaghetti code.

I'd say such swarming would be an effective deterrent to Narko's agents in disguise XD
Chaste  [author] 16 Oct, 2024 @ 5:41am
@Clan oooh I'll have to check that one out. Thank you for this!~
Cian 13 Oct, 2024 @ 11:55pm
This mod has a conflict with Reactive World in Rebirth. It replaces Inquisitor Vitahaenli with a generic Paladin named Paladin.
st4rg1rl 19 Aug, 2024 @ 1:27pm
barman in blister hill caught me and LITERALLY EVERYONE in the town got their goal changed to "move order" and swarmed the bar, wtf
glue 5 Aug, 2024 @ 10:44am
Okay, thank you!
Chaste  [author] 5 Aug, 2024 @ 6:53am
Hi @glue!

This mod DOES NOT allow you to talk to police chiefs/bounty captains to purchase the freedom of jailed NPCs.

This mod could allow us that functionality through an easy tweak. However, doing so breaks a lot of vanilla AI stuff and dialogue-related stuff. That's why it is not in the scope of this mod.
glue 4 Aug, 2024 @ 1:39pm
Could this mod allow you to talk to police chiefs/bounty captains to purchase the freedom of jailed NPCs?
Chaste  [author] 26 Jun, 2024 @ 7:09pm
@Nairobi sorry for the delayed response. May I know even more about your concern?

T2SwiD UWE patch should be loaded after UWE and T2SwiD. If that is already the case, could you tell me which barkeepers are affected? May I also know what are the other mods loaded below this mod? There might be another mod loaded in your list that affects diplomatic status of barkeepers in a larger scale. Thank you.
Nairobi 8 Jun, 2024 @ 9:42am
Hello there! I am having trouble talking specifically to barkeepers. Any help? This is already near the end of the load order and etc.

I am using Reactive World and UWE, with the adequate patches.

Thanks in advance!:cozybethesda:
Chaste  [author] 15 May, 2024 @ 11:28pm
@Garlic no need to worry about immediate hostile reaction because this mod does not touch the shopkeepers faction importance . Only the leaders that affect world states have high faction importance (>50). Shopkeepers have their default 0 or 1
Garlic 15 May, 2024 @ 10:30pm
It does work with the exception of some barkeepers. But I'm concerned that they were given diplomatic status since it could lead to immediate hostile relation.
Logan "Nightmare" Aigaion 30 Apr, 2024 @ 3:11pm
Mod doesn't work. I'm trying to talk to a Holy Nation vendor and he still recognizes me as a thief.
Chaste  [author] 24 Apr, 2024 @ 6:38am
@Mr Black, hello!

Regarding Hobbs (that spawned in Fishing Village, therefore member of Deadcat faction), you cannot recruit him using this mod. This mod only allows enemy shopkeepers to be talked with.

Regarding the constant screaming for help with even seeing through walls, that is indeed funny yet is not the intended behavior with this mod. One of the dialogue conditions for the shopkeepers to ask for help is to see the player in combat, with "see" meaning in talking distance. This is probably a mod conflict/faulty interaction with another mod. If you would please allow me to know your modlist so I can troubleshoot the issue further, I will really appreciate it. Thanks!
[C|☆] Mr Black [✚] 23 Apr, 2024 @ 11:36am
ok so after installing this mod and trying to enter deadcat while disguised the shopkeepers are just constantly screaming for help and can see me through walls and alerting the guards even with my max level characters in disguise and ive not even spoken to them yet lmao
[C|☆] Mr Black [✚] 23 Apr, 2024 @ 11:28am
hiya currently enemies with dead cat and want to recruit hobbs but only shows attack since hes apart of deadcat faction will this allow me to to talk and recruit him or will i never be able to thanks
Sir Sebastian 11 Mar, 2024 @ 4:37pm
ah okay, appreciate it thanks, the mod is a lot more in depth than it appears lol, awesome mod great work
Chaste  [author] 10 Mar, 2024 @ 7:36pm
Hello @Sir Sebastian! Personality of the shopkeepers has an influence on whether they will accept certain choices or not, so if you keep clicking wrong choices you will surely be attacked. An example is attempting to bribe honorable shopkeepers.

Something to add, it's easier to disguise if your character is not a notorious criminal. 10k bounty above makes you a notorious criminal recognizable by most shopkeepers.
Sir Sebastian 10 Mar, 2024 @ 5:49pm
Hey awesome mod, I had a question, as a enemy of UC and Traders Guild, i have a Slave Traders Disguise, im attempting to fix my relations with Tech Hunters by doing the buy slave exploit, and im using this mod to help with that, but i keep clicking wrong choices and getting attacked, is it random what the correct answer is to "blend in" or do i just need to keep trying out answers? Thanks
Chaste  [author] 21 Feb, 2024 @ 10:28pm
For the other people subscribed in this mod, I don't know why Steam suddenly marked the file size of this mod as 0.000B. The mod's file size is around 1.7MB: ~1.1MB for the actual mod and around 600KB for the preview image. I unsubscribed and resubscribed to this mod today and saw that the actual files were still downloaded. I would appreciate it though if somebody else will confirm.

Just announcing this in case some wonders about the file size. If anyone can explain the actual reason for the wrong file size displayed in the steam page, I would be obliged to hear it.
Chaste  [author] 5 Feb, 2024 @ 10:46pm
@manglonamagas, theoretically, it is possible to make a mod allowing us to talk to bounty captains while in disguise.
Chaste  [author] 5 Feb, 2024 @ 10:46pm
However, such a mod would have high incompatibility with other mods due to such mod requiring an extensive overhaul of all bounty office squads... We cannot simply give diplomatic status to bounty captains because they are not unique; they can spawn as the "Shopkeeper" in bounty offices but they can also spawn in patrolling squads, etc. For example, the unit Samurai Police can spawn as the "shopkeeper" in the Barracks/Headquarters/Police Station, but they can also spawn as patrol, gate guard, etc. The easy implementation (simply give diplomatic status) would cause a lot of possible issues, while the difficult implementation (alter squads to accommodate unique bounty office leaders) would take significant time. And since there is a vanilla alternative to this ( simply put the bounty inside the prison cage ), I don't feel much motivated to devote that significant time.
Chaste  [author] 5 Feb, 2024 @ 10:46pm
TLDR: the version where we can sell bounties is theoretically possible, but its implementation could a lot of possible issues (easy), or require much time (difficult) for little gain (since we can claim bounties anyway by putting into prison cage). I'll still check though for those cases with unique bounty office leaders, as maybe I can find a way.
KinMan 5 Feb, 2024 @ 8:51pm
Are you able to make a version where we can still sell bounties? I can talk to shop keeps but I'm unable to claim the 100k bounty on my head since I can't talk to the Inquisitor
Chaste  [author] 23 Jan, 2024 @ 6:18pm
@Arack Babara I think that's how Kenshi lore goes. Disguise won't conceal that your character is a non-human, and human supremacists surely will notice it, armor or not. That's how they operate. This mod, however, could incorporate a dialog so that, if allied , you can talk with Holy Nation shopkeepers as a beast/skeleton, but don't expect that all will trade with you.
Arack Babara 23 Jan, 2024 @ 11:12am
It doesn't work when I walk up to the holy merchant in paladin armor as shek (I have alliance with Holy Nation)
Chaste  [author] 19 Jan, 2024 @ 5:54am
@ToothedSoda your comment is also a yes in every thing ^^

but seriously, I'm glad especially that you found it fun. I'm not spoiling much, but I found the interactions to shopkeepers while disguised as Holy Nation so fuuuun. Well, until you fail the disguise check and they try to kill you then ^^'
ToothedSoda 18 Jan, 2024 @ 1:57pm
This mod is a yes in every thing.
Fun: yes
works: Yes
should be in the game: yes
Easy to add to other mods: yes

yes/10
Chaste  [author] 19 Dec, 2023 @ 7:31am
@MizKai do the shopkeepers in your game have the "Diplomatic Status"? If not, this is the reason:

In the description of this mod:
"Please load this mod at the top of your economy mods. This is typically the later part of the whole mod list, after whole game overhaul mods and patches."

In simpler terms, this mod should be very close to the bottom of your mod list, if not at the most bottom. The only mods that should be loaded below this mod are economy mods (like shoppingecon, Pocket Change) and fixes (like Crab Tournament Fix, SCAR's pathfinding fix, etc.).

Why? It is because this mod has to give diplomatic status to all shopkeepers. This is a very minor change in the FCS that causes no issues in other mods. Please mind that this is the only change to NPCs this mod does in the FCS, most are dialogue additions.
MizKai 19 Dec, 2023 @ 6:11am
well doesn't work. i assassinated a samurai conscript and wear its uniform but i am still hostile at united cities, the uniform also says united cities but i am allied with empire peasants. even if i am not... so i think it was disguised as empire peasants + traders guild, i am also allied with traders guild but both of them i have 0 relations, only united cities has -100 and still hostile while in disguised. also tried after one min out of sight, every united cities citezen are still hostile and no shopkeeper dialogue
MizKai 19 Dec, 2023 @ 3:27am
okay thanks, well my mods are about character creation like hair, pose, combats stance, mca etc that is focused on characters. my major mods are uwe and rw with patches. some additional mods like new faction, mercenary reworked, cannibal enhance, and dialogues. like lets talk dialogue.

also i didn't attacked the shopkeeper since it was a newly discovered city.. im gonna try that 1 min out of sight.
Chaste  [author] 18 Dec, 2023 @ 7:05pm
Could you tell me what other mods you have except this one? Just for troubleshooting.

There are two potential, mutually exclusive reasons why talk to shopkeepers while in disguise won't work. One, the shopkeeper was in combat with you. You need to move away from the shopkeeper's line of sight for around a minute for the talk button to return. If you are near but unseen, you may even see the shopkeeper mumbling about your disappearance. Please note that for this case, even though the talk button returns, the shopkeeper may remember your aggression to him/her.

The other one, shopkeeper is not vanilla and is unique. This means I would need to make a patch to incorporate them. Some (new) shopkeepers in Universal Wasteland Expansion (like the Southern Hive) might also not be covered anymore as the compatibility patch is still Dec 2022, not covering UWE Feb 2023 and June 2023. I'll update it this holiday break.
MizKai 18 Dec, 2023 @ 4:32pm
also that was in clownsteady. the hook region
MizKai 18 Dec, 2023 @ 4:32pm
it didnt work to me, i wear uc uniform from guard and the shopkeeper are still hostile. i have -100 and i tried different character to wear the uniform but there are no talk button.
Chaste  [author] 18 Dec, 2023 @ 6:06am
@MizKai nope. The mod works right after activation.

Import would be needed though if shopkeepers in your game are already dead. ^_^'
MizKai 17 Dec, 2023 @ 7:12pm
need import?
WalkerDeadLP 15 Jun, 2023 @ 5:00am
Hi! No, my character dont have robotic limbs, The speech bubble does not appear when put the mouse over Holy Farm Leaders, but it appears with the other Holy Nation merchants. I will test again now with the mod update. Thanks for help
Chaste  [author] 14 Jun, 2023 @ 8:01pm
@walkerdeadlp Hello! Does your character have robotic limbs? Because (at least from vanilla), characters with robotic limbs cannot talk with Holy Farm Leaders. This mod did not change that behavior.

However, I also incorporated a fix in case the case above (robotic limbs) is not your case. This should work with vanilla Holy Farm Leaders. Please tell me if there are still any problem after this. Thank you for the report!
WalkerDeadLP 14 Jun, 2023 @ 4:23pm
I cant talk with Holy Farm Leader while in disguise :(
Daevinski 5 Feb, 2023 @ 7:44am
Oh, okay! Thanks for the information!
Chaste  [author] 5 Feb, 2023 @ 6:14am
Not necessary @Daevinski.

And by the way, "compatibility" patches for this mod are more of for integration rather than to make it work . This means that if there is no compatibility patch for the overhaul mod, T2SwiD will still work for all the other shopkeepers except the unique ones added by the overhaul mod (they cannot be traded with as enemies even if you are in disguise)
Daevinski 5 Feb, 2023 @ 5:21am
Compatible with Living World or a patch is not necessary?
Chaste  [author] 4 Feb, 2023 @ 12:02am
Thanks for the kind comments @DerangedMouse (and also to @still.a.donut further down the thread)! The goal was actually not just to improve the disguise functionality but also to add immersion through providing appropriate dialogue, and I am glad that the mod managed to adequately provide that. Yehey!~

I added the "stayed on Nexus" comment more because I do not see any copyright thingy here on workshop unlike in Nexus and I actually feared for my life a little because that guy's name and profile seems Russian... They might track me or whatever, and I'm not willing to die just because of some online altercation. Not being racist, but certain events changed my perception to them.

People here in Kenshi workshop is cool tho, and I hope I can still improve this mod (the promised hive shopkeepers update and compatibility patches with other overhaul mods to improve immersion). Thanks again~
DerangedMouse 3 Feb, 2023 @ 2:48pm
Hey! This mod is very good. It's much more immersive that you can actually able to buy stuff from an enemy faction in disguise

Also, don't mind the guy who's being rude. Seems like he's trying to look for something new in the virtual world to do, like find an 'enemy'. He'll grow out of his phase

I'm sorry that your experience on the Kenshi Workshop was negative, I'm confident that you'll find other people and modders that are more friendly and respectful
