Are the Dreamless immune to the other two types of fumes? Also is there any way to avoid the fumes without screwing with the settings?

Yeah, that's what I mean. Turn off temperature in settings. The curse won't turn to vapor. Drop the curse item in their room. Then turn temp back on.

I meant the polymorph curse vapor reaction, I was hoping to put some of my captured elves to use. I'm gonna try to release them from their cages behind a fortification with the altar in the middle and see if that works.

No, that doesn't work. If you want to do that, you can disable temperature, drop the item on them without the cage, then turn temp back on.

The most likely way to infect peopel with the dust is to make a gathering area in a room around the altar. The more there are the more can be hit. When using on 1, it often misses. On a group of 6 it will hit 2-3.
