@Charmin Quilted ULTRA Probably throught creating custom lua scripts would be the safest, if you want to simply "destroy" bodies so you can not loot them. This mod is just here and i don't think i'll be changing/updating it, but if you want to make one you would like, feel free to modify it to your liking.

Do you know if there's some way I could edit the file so the zombies just turn to burnt remains? Would like to not be able to loot them.

@realnik10 thanks for the advice, but i tried advanced trajectory. being on controller doesn't really help with that mod when it comes to throwing, it allows finer control if on Mouse and Keyboard though.

But no kaboom or smoke if i use it? another negative. keep up the good work with mods like this though. I love the theme!

@(Seeking)Eye Throwing in this game is rather random as far as i know, unles you use some kind of mod for that. My mod uses ingame mechanics similar to other bombs (and footbal, yes there is football in game that you can throw and my mod uses it since it felt more natural). You can try Advanced trajectory and see if its more to your liking (you can enable so only thrown weapons are affected by that mod in mod options) and see if its better (however you wont see explosion or smoke effects.

I've been giving this mod a try and I have to say I rather like this! playing on controller Im trying to figure out if i just am bad at throwing the variants that are tossed. is there something i may be missing on control? because im rather bad even in a thick zombie situation at tossing these and them landing to any effect.

@Torstein Thanks for that information, added it in description. It seems like remote or sensor bombs dont work in multiplayer in general. At least for me even pipebomb with remote or sensor didnt explode, but throwable ones did.

Bombs and traps only work on Zombies, not on players for MP.

@dfajajaran45 I have not tested it in multiplayer scenario but i dont see why would it not work. Its exacly the same as pipebombs or any other vanila throwable weapon with added flat extra damage to make sure its killing zombies. It will hurt player but never kill in a single explosion of single bomb, unless you stack them.(same rules as other bombs) and doesnt damage doors/walls and won't start a fire like vanila ones. Someone down the comments added it to their server and i havent heard from them anything about it not working.

Nail Bomb (legacy) - it was my first entry to this mod, where bombs didnt oneshot zombies(normal settings), but did heavy damage enough to kill them with anything after this point so to not make it overpowered, it works, but if i ever add anything contentwise i wont update this one
Nail Bomb (live) - This version oneshots normal zombies, adds some quality of life recipes to skip first tier bomb if requirements are met, while still allowing to upgrade basic bombs found in zombies
Nail Bomb Higher dmg (legacy) - same as first legacy, but it just added higher damage to kill zombies in one explosion, rest is the same.
So as you can see i didnt think this far in future so i made bit of a mess but ill try to stick to only one version so if i decide to update this mod i will only focus on live verison.

@Flankspeed For the time being check out third variant which allows you to skip Improvised bomb and then converting part and craft Improvised grenade from raw materials (i removed electrical wire craft from this craft, but kept rest as it was) You might need to reread blueprint to learn new recipes.

Ok, thanks very much for checking. If I figure out what mod it is I'll let you know. I didn't even know I had mod that was overwriting electrical wire. Annoyingly it doesn't say "This item was overwritten by Mod X" like some of my items do.

@Flankspeed I'm playing with this mod on my save all the time and i never run into this problem (just checked to make sure). It might be that any mod of yours is overwriting electric wire ID but not changing name of item itself. It would be of great help if you found out what mod does it. Im also considering adding a version with first tier of bomb so you dont have to convert it into Grenade. It might not be a solution but workaround in that case and i belive that some people would really enjoy this change as i myself find first tier of bomb to be lacking, however id still keep it in lootpool.

I'm having trouble converting a scrap bomb to a grenade. I have all the ingredients but it is not recognizing the electric wire...it still says I need wire. It's probably a mod conflict on my end but could you please check that it is working as intended when you get a chance.

@Flankspeed it works on both, where zombie will die in one explosion if you use higher dmg, where player gets hurt from barely (if injury occcurs in non critical area like hand) to really bad (injury on neck) but it wont kill player in one explosion, there is high chance you will survive multiple unless youre unlucky. Check second video and you will see how they work.

Tripwire Bomb only works on players, not Zeds I'm assuming? Still cool though. More explosives that don't light everything on fire.

@ProtecTron It does work midsave and you're right about non visited areas in terms of finding it in containers, but i think zombies should have chance to drop it from the moment you load in, unless zombie loot is generated once it spawns which im not sure about.

The spawn for the bombs themselves might be a bit high. I haven't really killed a lot of zeds but I have like 11 bombs. It's getting to the point I don't think I'll ever have to actually make one myself.

@物理系魔法师 Scrap Bomb itself should not start any fire (its just smoke for effect) or damage any structures. I've just checked to make sure it works with fire spread disabled, it even works with fire disabled so it should be safe.

Can it do damage without letting the flame spread?

For security reasons, this option is not suitable for multiplayer games,
However, many explosive weapons must have this option enabled, otherwise they will not deal damage properly

@error2k If there was a way (that i'd know of at least) to make it that if one blue print spawned and then it disables its spawn for few days/weeks i'd might consider it. While trying to test if drop rate is "low" enough i killed around 1k zombies and got maybe 2 (talking about spawning them in debug mode). I tried to make it balanced/fair so any type of player might get it eventually by just playing the game without need to start a new world/need to go to other parts of the map so its added to zombie inventories and then additional chance added to survivor zombies. I get why it might be not immersive to find it in nurses/strippers/priests, but its for the better (i hope so, but if there will be more feedback i might change it).

btw I just found two blueprints on two zombies that died next to each other, so the spawning rate in general might be too high

the blueprint should IMO spawn only on survivor zombies. Something like that spawning on a nurse, or an old gramps isn't really immersive.
