@MusicManiac When using the Simple Overhaul: Traits and Occupations (SOTO) mod, do I need to uncheck the boxes and set the condition values to 0 in the settings? So that this mod and yours work normally. Is it possible to leave nothing untouched and your mod will work smoothly with Simple Overhaul: Traits and Occupations (SOTO)?

I run a server and I want to disallow players from picking these traits, but I like the idea of leaving them able to be earned, nbd if it can't be done.

As for disabling traits at character creation, just don't pick any? No need for sandbox settings

I just want to say, this mod is so awesome. I hated dynamic traits and it put me off to using mods like this over my 1k hours of playtime. This mod totally changed my view on a trait system. 10/10, love how customizable it is. Thank you so much!!!

Correct. Works on my game now also with everything enabled. Seems the error was a helicopter mod I had lol (warthunder mod and huey chopper mod). Found that in the crash log

I also checked and it works without any problems on my end, so it's some mod incompatibility on your side probably, as without any other mods it works fine. You'll have to narrow it down yourself.

ok nvm what made my game crash was the submod "Evolving Traits World (ETW) - Mark Dynamic Traits", after disabling that I can play normally using Hoarder from this mod

is there a way to disable a specific trait? I disabled Hoarder through the Sandbox Options before starting a new character yet it still pops up as an option

naturally i can i simply not select it since i know it crashes my game but shouldn't i be able to remove it if I untick it via Sandbox Options?

There's a setting to disable it, but then again if you behave like a 9yo throwing tantrums, I am perfectly fine with you not using my mod.

I'm very curious how it was possible to ruin a whole mod with such a horrible bloodlust icon? So it will hang there all the time? Seriously? I'm deleting the mod just because of this crap, it causes nothing but disgust.

Okay. I was trying to say that those two traits were gained on the first day of my character. And I would think that to gain traits you need to hold some parameters for a set amount of time before you gain them. And it seems that those two traits are either ignoring that rule or don't have that set up.

Modding is a hobby, not expecting you to fix this asap or even at all :P Just wanted to point it out so that you and others are aware.

They are tied to weight system, check in systems. I need to rework those 2 because thirst/food traits are by far the most commonly asked about. But I'll do that when I'm back to modding PZ :D

Which traits? It depends on your sandbox settings.
In any case, just look into sandbox settings if you do not like the speed of the progression, you can customize it to whatever you like. Each setting has description.

Google sheet is for b41. For b42 all info has been moved in-game. Regarding what does it give, it gives exp multiplier and any special extra effects that might come with trait.

I'm getting low thirst, and light eater at 23hrs survived. Not even a full day. Is this a bug?

I've noticed that the furniture assembler skill gives a +1 to carpentry according to its tool tip and nothing else, but as it's a trait added dynamically, one doesn't actually get a +1 to carpentry (after having gotten it, my carpentry skill is still only 4, for instance). What purpose exactly does it serve? I noticed it says woodworking on the google sheet but I'm guessing that's just a translation issue. In game it doesn't seem to do anything. Is there something else that it does?

It's also connected to mental state, it's not just plain under/over weight. That's also why starting with obese doesn't insta give you those traits.

Hey, love the mod. Though I have one question. Why do you get hearty appetite and High thirst for being over or under weight? I would understand being thirsty as a fat man and hungry as a starving person but both doesn't make sense to have both in each instance to me at least. Also potential bug on B42, when starting off as obese I wasn't High thirst and Hearty appetite right off the bat and only obtained these traits after losing enough weight to be overweight

hi, apparently the delayed trait counter for the resilient trait(immunity) broke, after one moment(mb last game update) it stopped decreasing, after turning delayed system off in sandbox options, the trait still did not appear unlike furniture assembler trait that was also in delayed traits

Same reply as above. I already make claustrophobic/agoraphobic like 3 times easier. Adjust sandbox values.

Hi. Really like this mod but I have been having some problems with it in my last couple of runs. Gained claustrophobic despite not spending too long indoors and am now struggling to lose it again. In my previous run I was gaining claustrophobic every time I went indoors and then immediately losing it and gaining agoraphobic when I went outside (really annoying as you might imagine). This was on default settings for the mod. Kind of worried this will happen again, so any advice would be appreciated.

How do you lose smoker trait? I though okay i just ignore stress for a month a remove smoker trait but no, you will get claustrophobic AND agoraphobic because of your stress level and when you do you just stop losing smoker trait because bar will not move when you are stressed and panicked.

Please for the love of god set it so that the Last of Us guitar riff isn't on by default. Took me so long to figure out why I was hearing it literally every 20 seconds. Get super old really fast

Wdym? P traits are permanent if selected at character creation. P/D means permanent at creation but if you didn't start with them they are dynamic

So how to remove claustrophobic trait? Seems i got one for being in building for too long when i was pumping up my physical stats and its score in ETW tab keep going low when im in building

Make sure you enabled main mod (EvolvingTraitsWorld). Submod (EvolvingTraitsWorldMarkDynamicTraits) only changes names of some traits

D means it can be earned Dynamically if proper sandbox settings are set. P means even with dynamic systems enabled, picking that trait at character creation will make it permanent for your character.
