Thanks for letting me know. Though I don't know what each variable does.
For simplicity, I have to ask.
What does "Cassette pack chance" do, and what does "Cassette shelf chance" do?
I understand. I'm currently playing a modded playthrough. Specifically playing with the Russia modpack and some russian music modpacks.
I've only found 3 cassette containers and each one has only contained a singular song.
Its been a month and I only have 3 cassettes (and no other things of music).
Yea no $hit, tbh I didn't even know TWO comas could fucc up your mod almostly entirely cuz everything else about our custom music pack works with no issue at all. And errors at the lil red box was no strange thing whatsoever so no one even thought to click it.
I do have one thing to report tho: It seems that the True Music mod had updated its addon maker sometime ago, making the musics players added with it all created as "Entertainment" in DisplayCategory by default.
I'm pretty sure this wouldn't mess with the cassette/vinyl packs, but this is not so for the cassette pouch/vinyl shelf. So an update would do nicely I'm just saying lolol
After continually testing for half a month, trying all the obvious options yet still found no avail. I glanced at the long used to bottom right corner during tremendous frustration, and realized there's been an error all along:
----There was two comas in the TCGLoadingTCBoomboxXXXX.lua, just between two sets of codes. The game had been telling me that something is wrong in this file all this time and I just didn't think once to check the little red box. I removed these 2 comas then the cassette packs work normal.
So in conclusion, your mod still works, and it's still great, it's just me being an utilmate retarded fucchead all this time.
P.S.: Word of advice to anyone watching: remember to check your ProceduralDistributions files for any unnecessary comas in your custom music pack, otherwise you might spent hours and hours and half a month to locate such a simple mistake lolol
I'm not using better sorting mod, and our pack is not that large I guess? It's like almost 1gb? I'll have to take your word for it, as long as I can tell the addon maker seems to be updated indeed, for the default folder name is different compare to some older music packs.
Instances I know will break my mod are if an addon changes spawning in some way, if you are using better sorting alongside this mod and lastly I have been told by the coder who actually made this that very large addons could potentially break it.
Thanks for your time, I guess I will have to compare some with mine then, for our music pack is quite large that is.
I do find one thing weird tho: Even the Main Theme cassette from the True Music mod itself cannot be put in the container, nor can it randomly appears when open cassette packs. The only cassettes available for packs are just those from TCcachemp.
At this point I'm not sure if it's the true music mod itself or our pack did something. After all creating music packs is quite tricky. I know for a fact that some music packs can't be use together because the authors did not change the name of the item file, making some cassettes unable to go in jukebox.
Having said that tho I did make sure to use the official addon maker to create files for our own music pack, does this counts as "having its own spawning system"? Because by opening the random cassette packs we still unable to get musics from our music pack, only TCcachemp's.
Also I just checked the DsplayCategory and it seems the musics from TCcachemp (requirement for true music mod) are having their DisplayCategory as "Entertainment" as well, just like the musics from our own addon, yet these can come out of cassette packs randomly but ours can't.
I'm sorry if I made some stupid mistakes and being bothersome :(
I see, that makes perfectly sense actually. Which means if I make sure the DisplayCategory is the same as "Cassette" then all would be fine I take it?
If my understanding gone south somewhere plz consider leaving me some pointers, for me and my folks LOVE to go fishing, and as you might know, that character tends to do be unable to do nothing other than sweet fa, making a jukebox and a bunch of casettes our only mean of entertainment during fishing. Sincere appreciation in advance!
Great addition to True Music mod and indeed a qol mod, one thing tho the casettes contained in the cases seems to be all from the original mod, any chance could this supports the true music packs and let the musics added by players be found as well? That will be a even greater feature!
If so it explicitly states in the important notes not to use any other music mods along side it as it can mess up spawns so it seems like a problem on it's side.
Either way I comissioned this mod so the coding isn't mine. any fixes on my end will have to wait until I have an interest in playing PZ again and can pay to have them done. Sorry for the inconvenience.
This may require another of the true music mods, but I'm not sure.
@miami Llanfair Fucks with them how? and which packs? If it's one of the bigger ones that have their own alternative spawning method then there isn't much I can do. No there is not any other versions, sorry.
Everything else works flawlessly.
Glad you are enjoying the mod :) this is my first non shitpost mod so I'm very happy to see it getting used so much.
Haha, how much would you consider an absurd amount? lol...
Anyways, this mod is a 10/10!
