I used the adjust mod which scooted it.:steamthumbsup:

Now that I look at it more it looks great, it matches the other textured benches when the table is facing south or north but when sideways facing west or east it just looks a tad bit longer and when selected it sticks out of the selected corners. Just that one visual issue but for real I love this bench.

Love this mod but the bench could use a redesign. Also its side profile is a little bit longer than the other benches and sticks out like a colonist could bust their hip walking next to it. Other than that this mod should always be downloaded.

Thanks for the cost update zaljerem, I appreciate it.

Thanks a lot! Not so ugly as the only golden color in whole production site

Updated: Lowered construction cost as below. Also paintable (though it will be ugly until I get the texture masks made).

Agreed. I'll push an update, 100 Steel, 50 Plasteel, 3 Components.

The cost appears disproportionately high for an electric art bench, given its fixed material requirements of 300 steel, 100 plasteel, and 6 components. This seems especially steep when compared to the original standard art bench, which only required 75 wood and 50 steel.

Hello, is it possible to make bench paintable? And from another materials?

Thanks for the report, I have just pushed an update.

Left and right rotated sprites uses wrong icon, they swapped for some reason

For those wondering (and other people have said this), the chainsaw isn't for making fine precision in sculptures, it's for cutting the big chunks you won't use instead of having to break them down slowly.

That's a good idea, but I don't have the C# skills to create a mod menu. If you're up to editing a text file: [SteamFolder]\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2914607001\Defs\ArtBenchElectric.xml, look for <WorkTableWorkSpeedFactor>
hottt3 19 Feb, 2023 @ 9:50pm
Thanks for the mod! Is it possible to make an option to adjust the workspeed.

Sculpting with mechanical tool is quite common, especially if you making large number of art pieces, especially in workshop.
Your average artist probably make due with manual tool, since they are more about the artistic feeling.

Can't wait for someone to come into the comments whining about how "power tools can't help art!" and "it doesn't make sense to have an electric bench!", all on the basis of "well I'm an artist myself and I don't use this!!"

It's almost like the power tools are used to help jumpstart the creation of the art piece, ie using the chainsaw to cut off big swathes of wood that you know you won't need in the finished product.

Chainsaws are legit used for some forms of sculpting.

Is that a.. is that a chainsaw?
