On multiplayer, every time there is a desync, it deletes all the special units.

The special abilities aren't working for me, not getting any bonuses only the special units so I'm going to toss this.

My favorite modded civilization. Nicely balanced. Good attention to details. Really adds something new when vanilla gets too predictable.

Though i have a question: i like to change the faith to science convertion to faith to culture.
I have editet the method file but it doesn´t seem to work, could you please help me?

@ostdeutschland Realistically, it is unlikely. I play a good deal of civ 6 myself and have looked into modding it for a while (it's actually a _lot_ easier than civ 5, which is nice), but in the meantime I've gotten a job so my free time is way down >_>. If I do do it though, converting my Civ 5 mods to civ 6 will be the first thing I do.

@sheidula not without meaningful sepcial edits to the code I think. Internally, what the Cthulhu civ does is a bit of a workaround - it literally replaces the holy site with a different one. the two mod packs would have to check for this case and adjsut to make it work. I don't know what the belief expansion pack does to get its effect, so I'd have to take a look.

Hey, is there a way to make this mod work with "Religion - Beliefs Expansion Pack" ? Specifically the follower beliefs that would convert 2 faith from holy sites to other points? Currently, as soon as a holy site updates to provide doubled faith, it loses all other production it would have had.
Besides that, Cthulhu's holy sites only double faith and after add +1 food and production, without doubling anything else. Is there a way to fix that?

@cicero225 We were using the same files. I think it was possibly a conflict between two custom civs. We've since taken a break from civ I'll try to update you if we go back and try again with issues. Love the civ! :)

@Icarus It's typically worked fine for me in MP...the issue you're having suggests to me that the host for whatever reason doesn't seem to be having the civ work right. Are you guys using the same set of files?

@cicero225 Whilst playing multiplayer the game will desync or need to refresh which seems to cause my shrines to vanish and it forces me to rebuild them all. Is there any fix to this? In addition in testing it also drains my faith back multiple turns and reassigns my civilians (which I can deal with. However draining and destroying is hard to overcome)

@cicero225 just attempted this and it appears to just not work with the lekmod. maybe its because lekmod is installed as a dlc while using this mod through the workshop wouldn't work. I don't know of a workaround for this myself and don't really expect this is to be updated to work with it but yea lol doesn't seem to show up. Probably because lekmod does include so many other civs.

@Lappyrhino @Major Tom Yeah unfortunately it can be very easy for mods to conflict and fail silently, so to speak. The acid test would probably be to disable everything _except_ this mod and see if it works. If it does, then it's probably some kind of conflict.

@Lappyrhino idk if you're using the lekmod but the same issue happens for me when I'm using lekmod. I came here to say something about that myself but solely because it doesn't work with lekmod and I would be so glad if it did. I don't know if its because lekmod adds a ton of new civs or what but yea, Cthulhu doesn't appear for me either.

Just played a game with this mod. Good mod, but a little OP, even for Cthulhu. I'd love it if it were configurable or the Blood Shrines were tweaked down a bit. Oh and it breaks Super Starter Settler mod.

@Xsenitel4 Hmm? Just to make sure, it's added to your capital science, so it will show up as bonus science in your capital that doesn't seem to have any other source.

Great mod. Cthulhu expands very aggresively, spreads the Call of Cthulhu religion a lot, attacks their neighbors frequently, builds a huge military, and exploits Piety and holy sites as they should. It's been fun seeing ol' Squidface around. When he gets big, he gets absolutely ruthless. Looking forward to more mods with nations of abominations and cultists.

@reekymunkee The answer is probably to redownload the mod...the civ mod downloader is pretty glitched sometimes, so if it doesn't take, try unsubscribing, deleting the folder, and resubscribing. I know it's a pain, but it sounds like you just have missing files.

@jachunterboy If the issue is that the mod isn't downloading, it's an old problem with Civ 5. Unsubscribe, close game, manually delete the mod folder inside: Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Mods if you can find it (Note, not the whole folder or you'll lose all your mods. Just the specific folder), then reubscribe, reopen game.

@Slimeo Civ 5 mods generally do not work in multiplayer without extra fiddling. See: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=291506112&tscn=1502555277 . But, I can confirum that this civ does work with that link well.

@Fluffy of Borg That sounds likea some kind of mod conflict or loading problem. I'd try redownloading, verifying local cache, and seeing if it works on its own. No it's not supposed to turn into city ruins - but that does work in my testing.

@Ponty Mython Subscribe button is glitch, try unsubscribing, resubscribing, restarting game...it should download when you go the mods menu but if it doesn't that's what I'd try. You can also try manually deleting the folder if it's there and resubscribing.
