Naww ill just make local copies and edit them when i need. No need for you to go out of way just for that.

It could be set up as a mod pack where both the 5 and 6x I made are in the G menu to choose from. That requires a few more files being edited, models to be modified so they're not the exact same (file) name and more that I'm not willing to do right now at this moment. When I get bored enough....lol

Love this mod myself lol Its perfect when want to mod the thrusters a bit more or less. Make a few versions your self editing it and can have x2 to x20 versions on hand :-) And hiya Jack been long time mate. Had life things happen and was offline for like 2 years :-( But im kinda back now. Now to get back into making mods... maybe not just yet lol

All the mods of this type say that, none have updated the new thrusters that I have tried. Thanks for doing it. This is our servers new favorite thrust mod.

Thank you, Toaster. This does not effect whatever the plasma thrusters are or any other thruster mod unless the mod is only a cosmetic (skin or model) change that uses the vanilla thruster code files. It only effects effects the vanilla thrusters.

I tested this in a creative world, just to see how thing work, I will mind you, that since starting the modding path, not long after starting SE. I have been using the FASTER THAN LIGHT mod, will tell you, that was a fun ride XD. Got up to 10,000 M/S in 5 ish seconds using maybe, 20 ish Hydro thrusters and the same for the Plasma ones (No idea if they were affected though). Love this Mod and I liked what the one guy did, using the override as the thruster control so you don't make your friend who are ridding on your new space platform (going to space from earth) bugs on the windshield

Just delete it. While CAN use SOME low end speed mods. If dont limit speed it WILL cause issue. If used with restraint would be fine. BUT most will use ridiculous speed limits and thats when issues arrise. But ya if they use them its on them when issues happen.

I won't support it using any speed mods with it. If someone's using a speed mod and claims this mod is an issue their comment will be ignored (probably deleted).

Can use speed mods.. just dont use the real high ones or you be on other side of galaxy in 2 seconds lol

How the DLC items work is a bit particular with mods sometimes. I updated again just now and it worked for me this way. It should be working for all thrusters now including DLC thrusters. If I missed a set or something's not working report here in the comments and I'll see what I can do.

It looks like that my Hydro thrusters (Industrial) are not working anymore. Vainlla yes, DLC not.

Is it possible to make this mod work with the DLC thrusters? I tested my build currently but only the basic thruster will geht more power. Do i need to build thrusters my new to get it to work?

I found a solution.... we went full kerbal lol

I grouped the downward facing thrusters.
I then added the twice on the hotbar...
Increase override thrust
Decrease override thrust.

Held the button till we showed 20% thrust
Released the parking brake
We slowly ascended to the heavens.

There was actually a ton of hydrogen left in their tanks when we detached them.


500m/s reached no problem and no person to goo reaction

Only use one thruster. Either turn one off or remove it. That's the exact reason I made this the way I did: so I don't have to put 23532789255257892 thrusters on something to make it go. I only need ONE thruster. Two might be too many but it's good to have the extra if it's slow when hauling.

As far as I know there is no analog sensitivity to the thrust power. It's on, or it's off. I could be wrong but I'm not sure the throttle works with an analog joystick that has a throttle. All or nothing.

This is like putting a pillow and handlebars on a dragster's motor. It's powerful. It's going to be jerky. Since you're also using a speed mod that honks the limit to 500 the ship's trying to get to 500 m/s as fast as it can. Zero to 100 is pretty painful, I'd think. Zero to 500 instantly??? yikes! This kind of mod might not mix well with a speed limit breaking mod.

a) looks a good solution.
b) not sure removing a mod from a server is a good idea, that can go very very bad.
c) again a bit of an issue on a server.

Apart from the boneshark (our respawn ship mod), the only other ship we tried it on was what supposed to be a satalite. it got a tiny bit bigger than planed so we put two large hydrogen thrusters.
We went up in jolts, mate got out of his seat and insta killed (I had not warned him of your mods seat belt disclaimer lol)
How is the jolting caused by the too much power? Is it giving more speed than the server can handle and then being restricted to by the server? (Just added a 500m/s top speed mod to test that theory, but at work so can't test) or is it a bug with how the mod deals with low weight ships?
To be clear, as text is a hard to express intent or emotion, I am not saying anything negative about the mod, just diagnosing an issue and trying find the reason behind it as much as a solution

If you're jolting you either have more thrusters than you need (way too many) or your ship is very light. I install 2 thrusters each direction for a large cargo container and turn 1 set of them off. I only use both sets of thrusters when the ship is loaded if it needs the other set on. Do that and have "auxiliary" thrust power when you need it. If you only have one thruster in each direction the options are:
A.) Weigh the ship down. Use an artificial mass block in the build.
B.) Don't use this mod.
C.) Open the CubeBlocks.sbc file and change the ForceMagnitude values lower setting. Divide the values by 6 to get the default values.

I don't have DLC that includes thrusters. If they use the default settings this does effect DLC thrusters. If the DLC's have their own settings this does not effect them.

It does not effect other thruster mods.

we are using this mod on a server and have noticed a small issue with some thrusters....
They go in jolts, so for example holding space you go up in a jolt, then another jolt, then another, then another. could the script be effecting the thrusters intermittently?

Love that we dont have to worry about things not being able to lift off though
