Slight typo:
This kept showing up in my errorlog.txt : EMP_BAMBOO:Unrecognized Plant Token: TWIGS_SIDE_BRANCES
Modified plant_emp_bamboo.txt to include the H in TWIGS_SIDE_BRANC H ES I no longer get that error.

@nikro412956 They should spawn exactly the same as other trees. Any given region with the appropriate biome has a chance of having bamboo trees as one of its randomly selected tree types. In any region where bamboo trees are present, you'll have bamboo saplings randomly sprouting, and if there's enough room around them they'll eventually grow up into trees.

How do bamboo tree's spawn? Do they need an existing bamboo plant or do they randomly popup on the map if there once existed a bamboo plant?

Version 1.02: added the tag to pandas to enable these as food for them. It probably won't do anything because (a) pandas don't share any biomes with these bamboo trees, and (b) they're coded as trees, not grass, so I don't think they'd eat it anyways. But it was a simple one-line edit, so it was easy enough to do. I suppose if you embark somewhere with bamboo trees and come into possession of some tame pandas, there's the outside chance that they could eat the saplings (I didn't have any forts with tame pandas to test it with, so let me know if anyone finds out one way or another).

I suppose this will benefit those who have panda as livestock.

Do pandas eat these? It would be interesting if it made them more likely to survive worldgen.

i'm looking forward to being overrun by hostiles climbing up and jumping off bamboo stalks
