Currently the error.log will otherwise read:

With the latest patch, this mod sadly stopped working.
I noticed it regarding interwar and 1936 destroyer hulls and 1936 battleship hulls.
Maybe you could have a look at this sometime?
Without your mod, capturing stranger fleets is just half the fun
Btw. amazing bypass to the vanilla trouble of the annexed fleets!

The problem has been fixed. Thanks for the report.
I tried decommission the newer destroyer and subs but it still don't work.
The update of the related mods has been completed.
I don't see any changes other than the ability to retrofit, so I'm guessing it's either an engine swap or a curiosity thing.

I don't think it is possible. This is partly due to the author's lack of modding knowledge of tank design.
