Finally fixed the issue with the rockets often exploding when fired. Even though I couldn't actually see them hit each other they were apparently too close so I moved them apart and removed the extra detonators which seems to have fixed the issue. Sorry it took so long.

Ah ok, yeah that's already on my list so some day... :)
I'm being purposefully vague about when I'll get to it since I have over 50 other planes on the list and I make them in no particular order, I just build which ever one I feel like.

The A-26 Invader is already on my very long to-do list so not sure when I'll get to it but it's on the list.
The A-6 Intruder I will most likely not build since I don't really build jet planes.

Thanks for almost a thousand subs already. I'll slowly but surely tweak all of my planes to work better in 1.3 but there are quite a few so it may take a couple of weeks to get them all done.

As I've said before I don't really build jets. It's not what I'm interested in and there are a lot of people better at building more modern planes so I'd suggest asking one of them. I'm sure someone else would be interested.
I have over 50 WW2 planes on my ever-growing build list so I'll focus on them. Sorry.

Yeah aero in 1.3 is pretty good, apart form a serious lack of lift and control surface power at speeds under 100-120kph. I was hoping Fluppi would add a boost to those at low speeds but it seems he won't considering "the final fixes" have been added in the latest 1.3 patch so it will most likely be the same on release. But at speeds over 120 kph it works pretty well. I wish control surfaces were a bit stronger at speeds under 200kph but other than the major issue mentioned above it's ok now.
Of course we still have some serious loss of speed when turning and manoeuvring but that will apparently never be fixed since it's part of how the game engine works if I understood his comment correctly.
I do wish he would fix the "wheels connected to moving actuator somehow has impetus even if not driven" issue that makes this and other planes spin on the ground, ut apparently we'll have to live with that too in 1.3.

Aside from the steering issue on the ground, the plane works very well! I do wish the games aerodynamics were fixed a bit, because this would be even better if so!

I was hoping there'd be some sort of fix for these issues with wheels connected to actuators, but judging from the latest/last update to 1.3/Experimental that was released today there won't be. So this rather huge issue will sadly remain for the forseeable future and ther'es f*ck all I can do about it except making the landing gear rigid and not retractable. :(

Since I've had a lot of practice testing this thing I can usually get it airborne without spinning or crashing about 60% of the time with the rudder and pitch method, but the other 40% just ends in spinning or me aborting and trying again. And this is in single player with 144fps. I have no idea how this thing behaves in MP with low fps. :/

The only thing you can do is to look out for any drifting towards either direction and try to counter with the rudder as soon as you see it starting to veer off, and as I said max pitch up may help a bit too to make you get off the ground as soon as possible.
But yeah sadly it's another thing that just doesn't work in the game. :/

As I state in the description there's nothing I can do about it, it's a "feature" of the game in its current state. It's probably related to the front wheels having steering enable (so they can turn when retracted) and being connected to an actuator.
It's frustrating that this game after so many years still doesn't have its basic functionality down (yes I know it's still in Early Access but this has been an issue since forever).
Pressing pitch up (Up arrow) while on the ground sometimes helps, otherwise you'll just have to be lucky and try to counter with the rudder (which does nearly nothing at low speeds) or spawn in the air. But spawn at at least 300 metres since elevators/pitch also does nothing until you reach 200kph or so.
Sorry but that's how the game "works".
