wazzupbeijing 10 Aug, 2023 @ 4:43pm
making charcoal is toooo easy which is why i use "real metal working mod"s charcoal system its a lot harder, but still cool mod thx for the work!
wazzupbeijing 4 Aug, 2023 @ 4:50pm
i agree with kisica it should also consume some metal
Kisica 27 Jul, 2023 @ 5:33pm
I think making ammo should also require some srap metal, not only the gunpowder

@lolmaxcz
I have no plans to at this stage as there is other well made mods out there that cover Britas + other gun mods.
hadroun 20 Apr, 2023 @ 12:22pm
could this be compatibile with britas ammo someday???
Kafkatrap 15 Apr, 2023 @ 11:15pm
Nice!
Reditz86  [author] 15 Apr, 2023 @ 5:11am
@Kafkatrap
I'm surprised that wasn't noticed earlier, good spotting. Should be all fixed up now, enjoy.
Kafkatrap 10 Apr, 2023 @ 6:34am
Now i have 13 boxes of .38 special round instead of what i actually needed ;_;
pls fix Mr Mod Man :winter2019sadyul:
Kafkatrap 10 Apr, 2023 @ 6:32am
@Reditz86

Crafting "Bulk .45 Auto Round" actually creates a "box of .38 Special Rounds" instead of box of .45 Auto Rounds", all the other crafts seems to be working as intended though.

@reditz86 YUP i wound up just tinkering couldnt figure out what cuased the crafting category to go away but simply taking it off and putting it back worked just fine and the issue hasnt reoccured. and yup i didnt realize that at first until seeing the game files Thank you
Reditz86  [author] 6 Apr, 2023 @ 1:17am
@MRMADNESS GAMES
Great to hear that the issue has been fixed. Nothing like a have you tried turning it off and on again :)

Also, the reason for gunpowder gather/craft being available still is because it's a vanilla feature.
MRMADNESS GAMES 5 Apr, 2023 @ 9:13pm
as per last issue regarding the tab disapearing upon removing and readding it it fixed itself not entirely sure why or what the issue was but it seems that fixes it. the good ol turn it off and on again.
MRMADNESS GAMES 5 Apr, 2023 @ 7:21pm
so idk why however but the ammo tab in the crafting menu has disapeared it was working for sometime and suddenly its gone however the ability to gather gunpowder is still availible in the general tab is there any reason for this?
Reditz86  [author] 4 Apr, 2023 @ 2:06am
@Oscar Valdivia
The recipe only works with a campfire at this stage.
Oscar Valdivia 2 Apr, 2023 @ 10:53am
can i make charcoal in an oven or kiln?
Reditz86  [author] 31 Mar, 2023 @ 2:48am
@Delish
I have not tested but I see no reason why it shouldn’t. Any issues let me know
Mayfield 29 Mar, 2023 @ 11:28am
work in MP?
Reditz86  [author] 11 Mar, 2023 @ 6:22pm
@mike3056
Just tested with the mod directly and no issues all is working as intended. Might be you have a mod conflict. Enjoy that extra ammo lol.
mike3056 11 Mar, 2023 @ 11:05am
basically it was allowing me to break a bullet down for gunpowder then allowing me to make more bullets out of the gunpowder. but like 1bullet would be like 100 lol think it was a mod conflict tho
Reditz86  [author] 10 Mar, 2023 @ 11:02pm
@mike3056
Could be a mod but happy to test and see.

Need some more details what is your exact steps that caused the issue? As to see if i can re-create on my end.
mike3056 6 Mar, 2023 @ 4:41pm
Idk if its this mod or something conflicting with it but I can legit just dupe ammo
Reditz86  [author] 27 Feb, 2023 @ 12:02pm
@MadHatter
Not in the current build but you have given me the idea to look into it
MadHatter 27 Feb, 2023 @ 8:13am
Hi. Just wondering if there is an option for more expensive bullet crafting or configuration menu?
Reditz86  [author] 18 Feb, 2023 @ 1:32am
@物理系魔法师

No problem :-)
物理系魔法师 17 Feb, 2023 @ 10:56pm
Thank you very much~

@物理系魔法师
Yeah that's correct. I'm sure there will be an overhaul of ammunition crafting in the future from the PZ developers themselves as there is evidence in the game files to suggest so but we will have to wait and see.

In the mean time you could theoretically make a small mod that replaces the recipes.txt file with a modified one. Making a copy of the original file and delete the code then replace the original game file with your modified one. That should get rid of the recipe so you won't be able to gather gunpowder. Of-course make a backup in-case things go wrong and test as much as necessary. Hope that helps
物理系魔法师 17 Feb, 2023 @ 10:40pm
So it does seem to be a recipe for vanilla,
I'm sure it should be hidden in vanilla games, though, because I've never seen this recipe before (my game: 1400 hours) -- it doesn't require any tools, skills, just a bullet in your hand to disassemble into a whole bottle of gunpowder.
Do you have any suggestions for getting this recipe back into hiding? For example, should I open a file and delete that string of code that you're talking about?
(I've tried reinstalling the game and re-subscribing to all the mods, but it still exists)
Reditz86  [author] 17 Feb, 2023 @ 8:45pm
@物理系魔法师
Is the recipe name: Gather Gunpowder?
If that's the case the gather gunpowder recipe is a vanilla recipe and as long as you have bullets/ammunition you can use it to craft gunpowder which in turn (i think for vanilla) can be used to craft pipe bombs etc.

This mod does not contain a gather gunpowder recipe and the reason for that is because it already exists in-game in vanilla PZ. Here's the script taken from the vanilla PZ media/scripts/recipes.txt file:

recipe Gather Gunpowder
{
Bullets38/Bullets44/Bullets45/Bullets9mm/556Bullets/308Bullets/223Bullets/ShotgunShells,

Result:GunPowder,
Time:30.0,
}

This recipe is under the general crafting tab in-game.

Is it possible you might have missed this feature in vanilla PZ before? As that would explain your findings.
物理系魔法师 17 Feb, 2023 @ 7:27pm
The name of the recipe: Collect gunpowder
It doesn't need any conditions,
You can do it as long as you have bullets, you get a whole bottle of powder at a time.

And I can't see the source of the recipe from the recipe sheet,
Here's what I think:
Does the mod enable the original hidden recipe?
Because this recipe came after I used the mod.
And after it comes out, even if I don't install any mods, the recipe still exists
Reditz86  [author] 17 Feb, 2023 @ 6:11pm
@物理系魔法师

Sorry, i'm having trouble understanding your issue. Is this for disassembling bullets to gunpowder? That functionality is a vanilla feature and this mod does not touch bullet/ammunition disassembling, only creation. Can you tell me the name of the recipe causing you problem and any steps taken to see if i can re-create the issue on my end.
物理系魔法师 14 Feb, 2023 @ 9:10am
I have a question as to why I have an extra recipe after installing the mod - it will disassemble any vanilla bullet unconditionally and return a full bottle of gunpowder each time. What's worse -- even if I cancel the mod, cancel all the mods, uninstall the game and go to drive c to delete user data, the recipe will still be in the game.

Is there any solution? (I think this is a recipe for hiding, and the mod unhides him, but since he exists in vanilla, I can't get him to hide again even if I cancel the mod.)
Reditz86  [author] 27 Jan, 2023 @ 12:10am
@SBHBS
I would assume no as this mod only handles vanilla calibres. Ultimately, you would have to test it.
SBHBS 26 Jan, 2023 @ 6:17am
does it work with Britta ammo?
Mila 19 Jan, 2023 @ 11:48pm
I feel like making things as simple as it could be while also not oversimplifying it , is good too so that there's more variation to the workshop, since there's just so many ammo crafting mod in the workshop and all of them require sooooo much and wayyy too much things to just make a single bullet , which I understand why since that is how they make it in real life , but still , sometime it's just way too much of a nuisance just to make a single bullet when it is so much easier to just simply loot a towns' police station or military surplus :steamhappy:
Reditz86  [author] 19 Jan, 2023 @ 10:06pm
@GoncharX
Appreciate your input. I don't have any plans to make it complicated as far as using other materials like sulfur etc. I see some other mods are doing that already. The aim is to keep it simple.

If there's enough feedback i may make some extra vanilla in-game tools be required for crafting purposes purely for balance. Other wise i feel the mod is in a good place.
GoncharX 19 Jan, 2023 @ 6:18am
Just don't make it over complicated, please. It took me a while to find a mod for simple ammo conversion, all others are expecting me to find some bird shit to proceed (literally, to make sulfur). But just to make it challenging to start doing so (for example - to find the ammo press parts somewhere in the world and re-assemble it) would be just about right amount of efforts IMHO.
Reditz86  [author] 17 Jan, 2023 @ 10:03pm
@Big Smoke
Thanks for the feedback. Will have a look into the possibility of tools. I did see S4ro’s mod which is more specialised
Big Smoke 17 Jan, 2023 @ 8:06pm
@Reditz86 if you're goal is simplicity I would say keep it as is. If you are leaning towards realism some special tools would probably be more appropriate.
Reditz86  [author] 17 Jan, 2023 @ 4:23pm
@Big Smoke
No worries, I’m always open to suggestions.

Adding of more tools can balance things out more. Such as something in game like a screw driver or normal wrench. What’s your thoughts on that?
Big Smoke 17 Jan, 2023 @ 2:43pm
Thank you for the reply!
Reditz86  [author] 16 Jan, 2023 @ 11:40pm
@Big Smoke
Doesn't require an ammo press. Only tools are a hammer as i wanted to keep it as simplistic as possible. Essentially, a conversion of ammo types with higher calibres being slightly harder to craft.
Big Smoke 16 Jan, 2023 @ 8:46am
Does it require tools like an ammo press? I just dont want it to be to OP for my playthrough
