I have no plans to at this stage as there is other well made mods out there that cover Britas + other gun mods.
I'm surprised that wasn't noticed earlier, good spotting. Should be all fixed up now, enjoy.
pls fix Mr Mod Man
Crafting "Bulk .45 Auto Round" actually creates a "box of .38 Special Rounds" instead of box of .45 Auto Rounds", all the other crafts seems to be working as intended though.
Great to hear that the issue has been fixed. Nothing like a have you tried turning it off and on again :)
Also, the reason for gunpowder gather/craft being available still is because it's a vanilla feature.
The recipe only works with a campfire at this stage.
I have not tested but I see no reason why it shouldn’t. Any issues let me know
Just tested with the mod directly and no issues all is working as intended. Might be you have a mod conflict. Enjoy that extra ammo lol.
Could be a mod but happy to test and see.
Need some more details what is your exact steps that caused the issue? As to see if i can re-create on my end.
Not in the current build but you have given me the idea to look into it
No problem :-)
Yeah that's correct. I'm sure there will be an overhaul of ammunition crafting in the future from the PZ developers themselves as there is evidence in the game files to suggest so but we will have to wait and see.
In the mean time you could theoretically make a small mod that replaces the recipes.txt file with a modified one. Making a copy of the original file and delete the code then replace the original game file with your modified one. That should get rid of the recipe so you won't be able to gather gunpowder. Of-course make a backup in-case things go wrong and test as much as necessary. Hope that helps
I'm sure it should be hidden in vanilla games, though, because I've never seen this recipe before (my game: 1400 hours) -- it doesn't require any tools, skills, just a bullet in your hand to disassemble into a whole bottle of gunpowder.
Do you have any suggestions for getting this recipe back into hiding? For example, should I open a file and delete that string of code that you're talking about?
(I've tried reinstalling the game and re-subscribing to all the mods, but it still exists)
Is the recipe name: Gather Gunpowder?
If that's the case the gather gunpowder recipe is a vanilla recipe and as long as you have bullets/ammunition you can use it to craft gunpowder which in turn (i think for vanilla) can be used to craft pipe bombs etc.
This mod does not contain a gather gunpowder recipe and the reason for that is because it already exists in-game in vanilla PZ. Here's the script taken from the vanilla PZ media/scripts/recipes.txt file:
recipe Gather Gunpowder
{
Bullets38/Bullets44/Bullets45/Bullets9mm/556Bullets/308Bullets/223Bullets/ShotgunShells,
Result:GunPowder,
Time:30.0,
}
This recipe is under the general crafting tab in-game.
Is it possible you might have missed this feature in vanilla PZ before? As that would explain your findings.
It doesn't need any conditions,
You can do it as long as you have bullets, you get a whole bottle of powder at a time.
And I can't see the source of the recipe from the recipe sheet,
Here's what I think:
Does the mod enable the original hidden recipe?
Because this recipe came after I used the mod.
And after it comes out, even if I don't install any mods, the recipe still exists
Sorry, i'm having trouble understanding your issue. Is this for disassembling bullets to gunpowder? That functionality is a vanilla feature and this mod does not touch bullet/ammunition disassembling, only creation. Can you tell me the name of the recipe causing you problem and any steps taken to see if i can re-create the issue on my end.
Is there any solution? (I think this is a recipe for hiding, and the mod unhides him, but since he exists in vanilla, I can't get him to hide again even if I cancel the mod.)
I would assume no as this mod only handles vanilla calibres. Ultimately, you would have to test it.
Appreciate your input. I don't have any plans to make it complicated as far as using other materials like sulfur etc. I see some other mods are doing that already. The aim is to keep it simple.
If there's enough feedback i may make some extra vanilla in-game tools be required for crafting purposes purely for balance. Other wise i feel the mod is in a good place.
Thanks for the feedback. Will have a look into the possibility of tools. I did see S4ro’s mod which is more specialised
No worries, I’m always open to suggestions.
Adding of more tools can balance things out more. Such as something in game like a screw driver or normal wrench. What’s your thoughts on that?
Doesn't require an ammo press. Only tools are a hammer as i wanted to keep it as simplistic as possible. Essentially, a conversion of ammo types with higher calibres being slightly harder to craft.
