@Thel 'Vadam Indefinitely delayed I'm afraid. I'm in convo with NervyDestroyer atm in regards to a potential collab on his mod, so maybe after that I'll get the kick in the proverbial butt I need to get 2.0 out. Fingers crossed.

@Kure 'Tesum. A kobold is correct, that's just how vanilla's checkpoint system works. Chances are you, as far as the game was concerned, were in "constant combat" from the time of the bridge cutscene ending all the way to the Warthog Run. Make sure to not be shooting, meleeing or in a combat situation for at least a second or two between engagements in order to get a checkpoint.

@kure that is just base the maw. halo CE's check point system there is so you don't screw yourself with 10 seconds left in an impossible section.

Can you please add MORE checkpoints to The Maw? Because i've died in the Warthog Run and had to start back at the Area AFTER the Bridge Cutscene

ok it gets to the loading screen the bar goes up too 100 then just sits there and doesn't load the level or anything

I was halfway through a playthrough when the update broke it. Great mod, you can definitely see why some stuff was cut, but it's a fun way to experience a "Vanilla +" Halo 1

@Colt (Talking to Women Arc) It's in progress, but still on hiatus. I'm hoping to polish it up in the next month or so. 85-90% of the work is done, most of what's left is sorting out bugs and implementing last minute stuff.

@WestStar For future reference, in order to validate game files, you go to the game in your Steam Library, right click on it, select properties, then installed files, then "validate integrity of game files".

@westStar no problem. IT is item one I ask when people have problems with any mods. I think it is because a few of the models like the rocket hog and flamethrower are in those files.

I can't get it to load the first level. The loading bar fills up all the way, and then nothing happens.

@WorthlessKoridian They are planned to appear throughout the entire game, with them being introduced on the level "Lost and Found", and then being found on all levels going forward, including retail levels.

Very excited for 2.0!

On the topic of future inclusions, Engineers famously were cut from the game, but I've yet to find them in the mod. Either I'm a dummy (very possible), or they aren't in yet. Assuming the latter, did you have plans to include them in any of the current levels, or are they reserved for some of the other 15 levels you're reinventing?

@WorthlessKoridian Thank you so much for the kind words! Yeah, The Digsite stuff on STC actually released early by accident, wasn't supposed to be added until the rest was done. However, the fact you like it means you'll LOVE when 2.0 drops. :)

I played through this a while back and had a great time. With the recent release of the Pre-Release Macworld/Xbox mod, I wanted to come back and revisit this one, and it really struck me how good your mod is. While the Macworld/Xbox one might have more stuff, like weapon traits, exactly as it was in pre-release, so often things were changed for a reason (for fun or playability) . Meanwhile, Project Spark here has loads of cut content without sacrificing how good Halo 1 feels.

This mod feels like the perfect Halo CE experience. The sandbox isn't radically changed or rebalanced, just expanded upon. The encounters are bigger and better (and more lore-accurate; I love the tie-ins with Halo: The Flood). Project Spark is just Halo CE but perfected. And it isn't ashamed of that.

Congrats on what you have so far. I really love it. And I can't wait to see the integration of Digsite stuff into more levels (I've only noticed it on Silent Cartographer so far).

I've only played through the first two levels so far, but wow. This is fantastic.

You've done a great job of implementing cut content tastefully without just throwing it on top of existing encounters and 'hoping for the best'. Nothing feels out of place, and even speculative/practical changes have a lot of thought behind them (e.g. loved the Ghost introduction, seeing those purple lights zoom around the corner in the distance was a great 'oh crap' moment .)

When I read you'd added in a custom voice line I didn't set my expectations very high, but damn - You nailed it! If I didn't already know I would have assumed you repurposed an unused line.

It would be great if you could incorporate the Nexus description on to the Workshop page: You've done a fantastic job documenting and sourcing restored content. I'm guessing you hit a word limit on the Workshop description, perhaps you could post it as a pinned discussion?
