Either it's broken in adventure mode, or i am not getting something. Every time i try to breath fire on something, my character just spits.

Gonna be playing with the non-breath weapon version of this mod going forward. Just had a siege by undead forces against my dwarves. Only second year of the fort. A handful of undead kobalds and 2 undead dragonkin. The 2 dragonkin proceeded to solo my 30 man fort and my frame rate while being mostly unscathed due to fire and smoke. Love the sprite work, but the dragonkin with fire breath are a bit over tuned.

Its kinda funny, these guys seem to heat up they just make other creatures nearby melt. if they get water on them you get explosions of steam. XD Love the sprites, wish they were not so buggy though

Breath weapons are really but they seem to be using it without much of a thought. Fire breath should only be used near non burnable objects at your base, everything keeps going on fire inside of my base which kinda defeats the purpose of using anything made of wood.

... the dragonkin 'push' ability doesn't have any limits to its range or frequency, doesn't it? I'm attacked by a dragonkin necromancer, and my militia is able to fend off her dragonkin zombies with relative ease... except that everyone in my fortress is now suddenly and simultaneously flying into walls and dying on impact. I don't think it's intended functionality for the dragonkin to be able to psionically summon magnitude ten earthquakes on anyone in the world.

I have a dragonkin who is making the terrain impassable in a 3x3 square centered on them. I have no idea what caused this. I've teleported them into my fortress (I thought it might have to do with their fire breathing ability), but the hallway is registering as non-pathable now. They are not injured.

I dont know if this is a mod conflict or a bug with the mod, If you need a log or something please let me know where I can get it for you.

I had 2 die of dehydration after they got stuck standing in a tile and refused to move. Tried reloading, didnt fix it. Shrugged and kept playing for over a year in game, and I noticed trying to place them in a tomb... the coffin's would disappear. Just gone! as if they never existed with the bones sitting on the ground. After a whole another would come by, pick up the bones and move them to a stockpile.

I checked the coffin material and their just normal Andersite, so no modded material there, that im aware of anyways. I tried making another one out of Microcline, same story.

Noticed on a dragonkin vampire that their right hand was totally detached from the rest of the sprite, not sure if that's a vampire thing or a general sprite issue thing but definitely wanted to point it out.

some dragonkin traders got attacked by a stray wolf and burned all my livestock, trees and half my people to death XD

If it isn't already, could you make it a playable race (able to be chosen when embarking on a new fort)? I've just watched Kruggsmash vid about bird people and I want do a dragon fort.

Yeah it's been said before but their breath attacks are pretty brutal, love them conceptually but they straight up turn the entire surface into a desolate wasteland every time. Hopefully a slightly neutered version comes along!

I've traced a problem to this mod where it's not possible to make any kind of minecart. Is there a possible fix on the way, please?

Are they supposed to be excessively aggressive? In the world I just gen'd, most of them are hostile to every single other factions, regardless of their race.

@Caitqua Upon further inspection, armor does show up, just sometimes the sprites for clothes oddly appear instead of the armor (like a shirt being shown instead of a breastplate)

I think that I'm going to remove the fire breath, since it seems that fire in dwarf fortress basically always becomes a cross-map inferno. I've tried a few different fixes, and its my favorite breath attack, but yeah, since it's causing a ton of issues I'll just take it out.

The sprites for armor and weapons don't seem to want to show up. is there a fix for this?

I would not recommend this civilisation, playing with them turns into a nightmare as they will cancel constructing buildings when they let out puffs of fire.
As Npcs they are a pain in the ass and I wish I could send them a letter telling them to never come to my fortress, they have set the place and my trade goods on fire 2 times in a row, lost a doctor once because of them.
I don't hate this mod but its almost unplayable.

I will say I've had some recent issues with them spontaneously combusting and setting a lot of things on fire. Even outside of combat.

As cool as the concept is I'm going to have to ditch this mod wholesale for my next fort because these things are a nightmare to have as NPCs, giving them dragonfire means they can, literally, destroy an entire fort because they saw a hostile bird and decided to destroy literally everything, frame rate included, and melt everyone instantly.

I had 2 warring factions of dragonkin show up at the same time, and started to fight each other, which caused all of my colonists to be pushed away from them, and die in mass. Not sure why this happened, but it absolutely killed my run as we couldn't even send soldiers out to kill them and stop the weird bug from killing more.

Definitely a bug in ~200 item definitions:

graphics_ldgfs_dragonborn.txt -> Any item with the [CONDITION_MATERIAL_FLAG:IS_NOT_ARTIFACT]

it should be:
[CONDITION_MATERIAL_FLAG:NOT_ARTIFACT]

Potentially causing crashes for me. The game crashes randomly and then when I check the errorlog.txt I see a lot of these errors:
Unrecognized condition material flag: IS_NOT_ARTIFACT

Gonna try to fix it myself, will report back.

the civs you play with are of a single race. Any race could join your dwarven civ, but you'll still get very few that might migrate to your fort (if any), but none will be able to be part of your starting 7. The same would apply to whatever modded civ you play, you could play as dragonkin, but at best you'll get a few dwarves, goblins, or elves joining that fort over a long time.

I'm new to the game and love race mods. When I added this one to a new world and tried the prepare carefully option, I didn't see how to add different races. It was all Dragonkin. The dragonkin are so cool, but I was hoping to add just a couple to my starting group. Is that possible with this mod? Thank you soo much for all of your hard work.

@kiki I don't know if there is a bug in the mod or not or not but I do wanna say that's how farm plots work; they don't show growth stages currently, and in vanilla dwarves will often harvest too fast for you to see a grown plant for the split second they're visible.

When I try to plant potatoes on a farm plot on the surface, it says the seeds are a permanent part of the building, but nothing grows to my knowledge and the plot stays blank until the seeds disappear from the plot. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but any advice would be greatly appreciated :awswremy:
