i knew it that was the problem it was in the files in gmod. i made my own folder in documents copyed the "sound" folder boom worked

Don't open in the musicbox folder. Press open on the root folder that contains the sound folder

as i said for the addon path when it popped up where to go i clicked the files until it was inside music box and pressed open

i put .mp3 because that is one in the folder but maybe i need something for the folders

Just add those entries that don't pass the whitelist to the Ignored File Patterns

I think i did something wrong every time i put the folder it says "these entries do not pass the file type/location whitelist."

I selected the folder that contains the sound folder and that works

then what did you do to publish it? because i'm unsure to upload it if it needs some sort of gmad file because just putting the file itself alone dose not work to upload

No i was not talking about how to make the folders and have the music in game, i was talking about how to upload it to the workshop. because i have gm publisher and when i put the folder in it it dose not work not letting me publish it to the workshop. and i was wondering from you since you have uploaded your own do you need to add the addon.json foler, lua folder, etc, because i wanted to upload my own music pack thing just like you

You only have to add the music in the musicbox folder,
only need to have 4 folders and some music.
Your addon folder first. You can name that folder anything, then make a new folder called "sound"
Then in the "sound" folder. make a new folder called "lambdaplayers" and once again in the "lambdaplayers" folder. You then make the "musicbox" folder and there you can start putting music in there.

icement i got a question. do you haft to add the lua and other stuff in the file for this to upload to the workshop? because i am uploading the sound thing to the workshop in gmpublisher and it won't work
