WHAT?! C4s set the boilers to 149 pressure?
chompagaming 24 Mar, 2024 @ 4:12am
I Might be faster than a streamline train

OMG I AM SO LUCKY IT STARTED WITH PRESSURE
mcsteve89  [author] 24 Feb, 2024 @ 8:17am
huh, yeah that can occasionally happen with paddle steamers, but I don't recall ever having that happen to me on Cambridge. Not really much I'd be able to do about it anyways without significantly modifying the paddle wheels/paddle boxes, so I guess just make sure not to go pedal to the metal and you should be alright.

I've noticed a problem with paddles recently. they seem likely to move into the paddle housing and destroy not only the ship but also my fps gets obliterated. Love your ships though!:steamhappy:

also the pressure only goes up when the temp reaches 100 so wait until then
Captain Goobly 7 Jan, 2024 @ 1:24pm
Message for people with no boiler pressure: I found that it only makes pressure when you close the boiler doors and wait a bit

Recent updates. Will have everything back up and running once the "dust settles" and a potential proper steam engine fix is out
ShortAlpaca 6 Nov, 2023 @ 3:10pm
So, for me the boiler in the bow of the ship will not produce pressure, is anyone else having that issue?
mcsteve89  [author] 15 Oct, 2023 @ 9:54am
I'll get it back up and running once steam engines are properly fixed, the hotfix unfortunately didn't really help much
ratlast 15 Oct, 2023 @ 9:38am
Annoying buggy mess of an update makes it sink if you open the cabin for some stupid reason, I do like the build though, reminds me of SS Arctic, although without the mutiny
Grappa 30 Sep, 2023 @ 6:28am
A very nice build
Fun to ship around
for the people who have problems with Boiler explosions keep the Damper at half it should keep the pressure under 9 and prevent boiler explosions
pupliky 24 Aug, 2023 @ 5:49am
what is the code
Soggy 8 Jul, 2023 @ 9:26am
gives me SS Arctic vibes
mcsteve89  [author] 1 Jul, 2023 @ 4:10pm
Yup, working paddlewheels
Osome 1 Jul, 2023 @ 4:03pm
How does the boat actually move? Like do the paddles actually work or is there another propulsion?
PumpyBoBo 21 May, 2023 @ 8:12am
how do you keep your boilers from exploding? every time i make a steam ship the boiler explodes no matter what system i use
mcsteve89  [author] 7 Apr, 2023 @ 9:28pm
Alright, should be fixed now. Turns out it's not as severe as I originally thought, and just had to rearrange the coolant pipes with some new pumps. Now to see what else broke...
DaciaSaoirse 6 Apr, 2023 @ 8:23pm
Ah
mcsteve89  [author] 6 Apr, 2023 @ 8:14pm
Yeah, looks like they broke coolant again. For some reason, elevation changes in the coolant pipes severely limit the heating capabilities for some reason, and with whatever setups I'm trying out that are working, as soon as the boiler hits 100 the coolant starts freaking out and is barely able to flow. I won't be able to fix it right now since I'm prepping for a new upload tomorrow, but I'll definitely look into it more later and see what I can do. Chances are, We'll all have to wait for the next update though...
mcsteve89  [author] 6 Apr, 2023 @ 7:58pm
oh dear...
DaciaSaoirse 6 Apr, 2023 @ 7:51pm
There definitely seems to have been a big update to steam power lately, and I've found most of your steam builds either slower to heat up or less reliable at not exploding.
mcsteve89  [author] 6 Apr, 2023 @ 7:24pm
huh, yeah it is doing that... working on fixing rn
Greasy 6 Apr, 2023 @ 4:41pm
for some reason boilers 2 and 3 don't get up to temperature. around 78 or so degrees the heating just slows to an imperceptible crawl. the first boiler works fine, so i can get around 6 knots out of her.
i've tried running just on boiler 2 or 3 and i still have the same issue. i don't know why.

How do your steam vehicles build pressure so well without exploding? What wizardry have you mastered?
Chaos17 28 Jan, 2023 @ 11:43am
that will be cool
mcsteve89  [author] 28 Jan, 2023 @ 11:42am
Yeah I got a few ideas for ships in the future including ships based off of the PS Royal Sovereign, the HMS Temeraire, and maybe the SS Britannic (1874)
Chaos17 28 Jan, 2023 @ 10:59am
you should make more ships like the exeter and yorkshire they're some of my favorite ships n the entire workshop
mcsteve89  [author] 26 Jan, 2023 @ 3:51pm
Eh, sure. why not

Great ship i love it!
mcsteve89  [author] 24 Jan, 2023 @ 2:26pm
Thanks for the heads up. Just tweaked the boilers to run a tad bit hotter which should help
Titanic Stuff, And More! 24 Jan, 2023 @ 9:51am
its goes up .03 then goes down .01
Titanic Stuff, And More! 24 Jan, 2023 @ 9:51am
boiler 1 gains pressure slower than boiler 2 and 3
Burnout 24 Jan, 2023 @ 9:24am
Eppelton Hall inspired tug would be pretty sweet.
theworstdudever 23 Jan, 2023 @ 12:55pm
Are you going to make an Eppelton Hall - esque tug next?
mcsteve89  [author] 22 Jan, 2023 @ 6:09pm
hmm yes
MemeLigma 22 Jan, 2023 @ 6:03pm
nvm i turned on engine overheat and it went back down to 9 psi
MemeLigma 22 Jan, 2023 @ 6:02pm
is the boiler supposed to be at 25 pressure?
demolitions 1-1 22 Jan, 2023 @ 11:14am
this is epic more tugs please
mcsteve89  [author] 21 Jan, 2023 @ 3:12pm
It's there for a reason
GRAY SHIPS 21 Jan, 2023 @ 3:08pm
